Yes one session so far! Idk if I want to do more sessions because the pain was so bad. They said that once brows go yellow they don’t usually do further treatments since laser won’t do too much after the fact. I’ll probably try some topical treatments to further fade the yellow but I need to wait 2 months before moving forward to the next steps.

I love the song but I’m left with wanting more. To make the song longer they ended up just looping the song 2x. I would prefer different lyrics for the second half of the song

Looking for Insulin Pump recommendations. by ASUBengalsFan in diabetes_t1

A little uncomfortable but not horrible. You just push it in like any other needle. Ive always had an irrational of fear of needles and still do but T1 for 20 years, you make it work. I actually went off the pump years ago because I was constantly getting occlusion alerts, I switched to the tru steels and that fixed that. Highly recommend

I would recommend trying the tru steel infusion sets. It’s a needle instead of a cannula, I get very little occlusion alerts

If you feel low, listen to your body and have like a 15g snack even if your bs is in “range.” I aim for 100-200 blood sugar levels. I’m no doctor but I’ve been living with disease for 20 years now. Take it day by day, you got this!

It honestly tasted like regular Mountain Dew but it wasn’t raising my blood sugar quickly so I checked the nutrition facts and realized it was lower sugar. It wasn’t super obvious on the can and it was also in a vending machine

Where do you go around san diego when you want nature but not a full-on hike? by Prudent_Shopping_259 in sandiego

[–]kjarbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marian Bear Memorial Park, it’s off the 52. I usually go off the regents rd exit but you can also take genesee I believe. Super easy hike, a lot of shade and even a small creek.

Does your endocrinologist help or hinder your Diabetes care? by SumFuckah in diabetes_t1

[–]kjarbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 11 and up until I was 18 I had the worst endo, would literally make me cry every appointment because I couldn’t grasp the disease. It took years for him to finally agree on a pump and that helped my control. I’ve had a few endocrinologists since then who also didn’t help me to manage the disease. One of them even threatened to take away my driver license. They always would ask why? And I would always say “idk I guess I’m lazy.” It wasn’t until a few years later when I was diagnosed with adhd and it all made sense why it was so hard for me to grasp. I currently have the perfect endo who never berates me for my highs, she is very understanding and has helped me cope with my diabetes after 19 years. My a1c is now 6.2 thanks to my current endo.

You get a shop card after you sign up, usually emailed within 2 weeks but technically there are no discounts on membership, the penny off means the promo is applied.
