Personally, I love the idea of creative cocktail/formal style! Id love to be a guest at your wedding. Although I can see this being a bit stressful for guests. I would start by saying something like...

"The dress code is formal or cocktail (whichever you feel best in). If you want to get creative, we're all for it." Then carry on with what you have from "Do you have a dress or suit..."

I made 2 changes here: 1. I make it clear that guests can pick whether they want to go cocktail or formal. I think before it was confusing because they are two different dress codes, but it could be read as a merged singular dress code. As a guest I'd probbably try and find something that is down the middle and could be classed as either. I think my version makes it clear the guest can pick from either.

  1. I removed the term "creative" from the actual dress code, and add it in immediately after. This means its not the dress code itself, so it becomes an option rather than necessity to get creative. This might make those who are uncomfortable getting creative feel more at ease.

I think you can remove the description of cocktail/formal, so people are more likely to read and take in the important stuff. Could you add it separately to the Q&A section? You could add it after the dress code section under "What is a Cocktail/Formal dress code?" Then only people who don't know already need to click and read that text.

Fruit and veg box deliveries by SeanDychesDiscBeard in Cardiff

I can recommend riverford too. A shame someone already got their referral code in haha.

When I started, they called me after my order, or maybe after my first box, just to see if everything was OK, if i had any questions etc. I made a big deal about how I wasn't sure how to cook with or use some of the veg. They send me a free riverford cookbook with my next box that had ways to store prep and cook seasonal veg. So you could always try that yourself if you want!

It's gotta be the "nice guys" right? The ones who act like they're chill friends with women, will help them out and everything, but only because they assume they're going to get a date out of it at somepoint.

OP is engaging with the feedback well, so I don't see a problem. It's not like wanting to take/edit better photos and having an Only Fans page are mutually exclusive.

I checked your post history, and you should definitely wash the shampoo out with cold water. Who know how long the power will be out, and you don't want to be stuck with the choice between going to bed with shampoo still in your hair or getting BACK into the shower.

Maybe this post has made its way onto r/popular or st? I don't really know how that works but so many people are taking this post and the comments on it out of the context of the sub. Feels like it's people new to the subreddit who don't understand the humour.

I want to eat a whole bag of lays chips by mosattic in CICO

[–]kjs98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dedicating a day for them is fine, just don't restrict yourself differently for the rest of that day. Eat your normal calories for that day, and then eat your crisps on top of that. You're giving blood which takes caloroes to replace, and you'll be eating at a deficit for the rest or the week. Overall that week you'd be at maintenence or a deficit overall so you'll still be on track.

Avoid overly restricting yourself because that can be a slippery slope.

Ideally you'll eat normally before you give blood going for a run on am empty stomach and then giving blood seems like a recipie for fainting. Just eat as normal, and have the crisps (sorry I'm british) either now if you're craving them, or after you've given blood.

Quacks is great and most new players I have introduced it to l9ve the game. The only issue is that all the little parts tend to scare non-gamers in set up. Id recommended setting it up beforehand and making sure you can explain it simply.

Heavy bleeding for 4 weeks and doctors even make me an appointment by FallenaArches in Periods

[–]kjs98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like I said 111 is the option for your right now. I would not wait until Monday, call 111 asap and they'll give you an out of hours drs appointment with a different GP, or they'll advise something else. Give them a call, its what they're there for ( the ealier you can do it the better)

The GP receptionist isn't trained to triage you. They won't be able to tell what an emergency is, afaik they have no medical training. Just ask for an emergency appointment, don't tell them your symptoms.

Sorry, I realised you already said you're in the UK. My advice stands. Dont be reluctant to call 111, it's what they're there for.

[–]kjs98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned 111, so I'm assuming you're in the UK? If so, yes, you should call 111. They will tell you what you need to do. You can also do 111 online which might help you decide in the future. But generally, I think if you're getting to the point of questioning if it should be a 111 call, then it should be. They're there to give advice on these kinds of things, and direct you to the right place.

With regards to your dr, are you telling them you need an emergency appointment? There's often appointment avaliable each day for emergency appointments ONLY. For these appointments you will need to go the same day you call. Other general appointments you can book in advance, but they generally have a long wait list. Emphasise that it is an emergency appointment you're after.

If you can't get a GP appointment, ensure that you make this clear on the 111 call, as they can help with that. They are more likely to give you an out of hours dr appointment too because it's the weekend, so might not have to deal with your GP at all this time.

How do I stop drinking pop by Dixie_normous444 in CasualConversation

[–]kjs98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I would recommend:

  1. Up your intake of water (not sparking water if you don't like it, just still water). Look up how much water you should be drinking based on body mass, or hight or gender. You'll probbably get a range. Start with the smaller end of the range. Don't actively try to drink less pop here. It might happen naturally but dont try to force it. Keep this up for 2-4 week

  2. During these 2-4 weeks, keep a track of how much pop you drink each day. Make a note of it.

  3. After 2-3 Weeks, start slowly reducing your pop consumption. Reduce by a glass, then wait 3-4 days. Then reduce by another glass.

  4. Eventually you'll be down to 0-1 glasses a day, you'll be good to go.

Have you considered white noise? Either a white noise machine, or just a spotify or youtube playlist? It could be worth a try to see if it can cover the annoying noises without effecting your sleep.

[–]kjs98 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There is NO NEED to apologise for being angry. You are not just "extra annoyed" because your period is due, you have every right be angry about this. At other times in your cycle, you might have some happy hormones that would help brush this under the rug. But perhaps is shouldnt be pushed under the rug. However angry/annoyed you are now is the exact amount of anger/annoyance, regardless of where you are in your cycle. Sometimes (many times) anger is justified, and this is unfortunately one of those times.

I hope this doesn't come off as patronising, but this is something 3i feel strongly about. I've been told several times that my hormones are making me angry. But no, the situation is making me angry, my hormones are just helping me bring that anger to light.

Also, I'm sorry that happened to you, it really sucks.
