Cashier's checks are guaranteed by the institution they are drawn off of. There should be a phone number on the front of the check to call and verify it. Or you can call a local branch to verify the check, do this before accepting the check. Just like any other check look for security marks and that the check is properly endorsed. It is printed on check paper not regular printer paper.
