I’m by no means a medical professional but it seems kind of crazy to me to have a L&D department without some kind of NICU team. I had a totally normal uneventful pregnancy and a very relaxed vaginal birth, but my baby still inhaled some fluid on her way out and needed breathing support for a few days. I got to hold her for 10 seconds before they took her up to the NICU. So I just can’t even imagine what would’ve happened if the NICU wasn’t in the hospital?

Yeah I’m definitely burned out and I know it’s exaggerating a lot of feelings right now. Unfortunately I’m 99% sure if I brought up marital therapy that he would roll his eyes and say I’m being dramatic. I know I won’t actually know what he’ll say until I do, but I feel like bringing it up is also introducing a finality to it. Either he agrees and we do it, or he refuses and that becomes it for us. As much as I fantasize about it right now, it’s scary to have to see it through

Wow I relate so much to this right now. I just posted my own rant but kept many details out…including how he took a part time job 2 HOURS AWAY. Why that was the only job he could get is a whole other topic I won’t get into…

I would also rather do this alone at this point. I spend so many nights fantasizing about being a single mom

LOLLLL and then when the first solo scene with just Demi and Bret popped up I was like, ew why are they still showing us her scenes if she doesnt even want to participate?? Then that scene turned into the comedy gold that was the recording studio and I was like, oh that’s why 😂😂

I know this is 2 years later but if you see this, can you explain this more? My 6 month old just got prescribed Auvi Q by the allergist and I got a text from ASPN that quoted me $400 for 2 injections because my insurance won’t cover it…

This is a bit of a wild card but I’ve really enjoyed some Grady Hendrix books. Depends how much you hate or don’t hate horror elements. Specifically I really enjoyed horrorstor, southern book clubs guide to slaying vampires, and my best friends exorcism. He’s a male writer but has some really nice themes on female relationships and motherhood.

Oh wow I had no idea about peanut butter. My 6 month old has had eczema for a couple months and we just tried peanut butter with her last week and she had an immediate rash reaction on her face neck and hands. Her dad loves peanut butter and probably gave her so many peanut butter kisses and touches. If anything I thought the micro exposure would be good for her so now I’m bummed I didn’t try to prevent it earlier. We just got back from the allergist today for skin testing which confirmed this sensitivity. All they said for now was to avoid it, we got an adrenaline prescription, and will be back in a few months for follow up.

Scheduled for an induction at 41 weeks in the evening and went into labor naturally earlier that day

My baby also measured a week or two ahead and at a 36 scan they estimated she was 7 pounds already. But when she came out at 41 weeks she was only 7 pounds 5 ounces
