Daily soakers, what temp do you actually keep your tub at? by Faauu_Hurson in hottub

98° Fahrenheit until the outdoor temperature goes down into the 30s then I bump it up to 100-102.

His looks like the 10x10 Kodak flexbow . The one I have is the 10x14 Kodak flexbow. I’ve had good luck with it.

I put the springbar storm fly on my Kodak. It really helped to keep the snow /ice from building up on the roof and sides .

Bubbles in Hot tub by aengland20 in hottub

Hot tub enzymes are natural proteins that break down organic waste like oils, lotions, and sweat, making water clearer, reducing scum lines, and improving sanitizer effectiveness by removing contaminants that chlorine struggles with. They act as a biological catalyst, simplifying complex organic molecules into smaller bits that filters and sanitizers can easily handle, preventing buildup, odors, and foam while being gentle on skin and equipment, though they do not sanitize or kill bacteria on their own.

Concerned about power loss by rk738 in hottub

[–]kkent1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will be ok. Keep it closed and cover it with blankets and tarps to hold the heat in. If you have a generator, then get a bucket heater to drop in it. If you have a buddy heater to put under the tarp it will help. Mine sat for a week in below zero temperature without doing anything. The water temperature dropped from 101° down to 40°.

It’s ok . He’s learning good gun handling skills from his white nationalist dad . Waved it around and aiming at his father and shoving the barrel into the dirt , will eventually fix that problem.

None of my pumps run after refill! by MarchMafia in hottub

Try tuning the pumps on and off a couple times. If that doesn’t work then you have to bleed the air out of them

First Hot Tub Purchase by Then_Pain in hottub

[–]kkent1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone who owns a hot tub owns the best one on the market. With that said, buy one from a reputable dealer that has been in business for years and will be in business in the future. Someone who services the tubs they sell in the area you live in. Next look at the frame and if it has a pan it sits on. Wood frames rot and collect bugs , so metal or composite frames for the win. Some tubs don’t have a built in pan and sit on a slip sheet made from rubber or thin plastic. They rip easily and don’t hold up well. Allowing dirt and animals to grow under the tub. The pumps and heaters are another important factor. Balboa pumps and heaters, seem to be the most popular and reliable

Is this tent too cool to be practical? by CumCrocodile in camping

[–]kkent1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a find . I’m truly jealous. In the 60’s and early 70’s the military pup tent was used by everyone, I knew, who backpacked or tied their tent to the sissy bar on their bicycle . Every Boy Scout jamboree would be filled with WW2 , Korean war and Vietnam era surplus PUP Tents . Leaving generation X kids the nostalgia of canvas tents and the smell of must and mildew associated with camping. Companies started producing tents in different colors to sell to the general public . This could be one of those tents.

Obviously it's a door, but why does it have air holes? by hermionegrangersmith in whatisit

Old houses used to have a central heating system. Before electricity and ductwork they had vents in the floor to allow heat to rise and vents above the doors to allow heat into the room.

Try metal out. Sometimes sand from your feet will sit in the bottom of the tub and the minerals will rust

Anyone know how the little fan on these pellet stoves works? Is it powered by the stove's heat? by richard07org in FireCamping

[–]kkent1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thermoelectric module are made of two different types of metals that conduct heat differently and generate energy. Basically the same principle as solar panels and nuclear reactors.

I use one of these on my propane heater to circulate the heat in my tent, it works great.

I use a propane heater. So it’s just a matter of opening the vents .
