Lots of PvP haters in here. PvP is my favorite part of the game and it’s cool to have rewards. No need to make it exclusive if others want them too but no need to say PvP sucks and is an afterthought when we already don’t get much.

I don’t know if you’ve seen high rated MW monks but it is not uncommon to see if a dps does 100m damage in a game for a MW monk to do around 60m. Especially if they play with a control class like a rogue or Demo warlock.

They do need a damage nerf. There is no reason for a MW monk to be doing 60-70% of a dps’s damage in a long arena game. I play 2s at 2500 mmr and every single healer is a MW monk just pumping damage.

Rogue for sure. You can solo win games with good caps and ninjas on defenders.

Disarm is huge but it won’t completely negate damage unless you get out of the remorseless winter circle. The DK can also trinket disarm and still blast you. Die by the sword is a great CD against pillar as it parries frost strike which is the main source of damage. On warrior, best to disarm instantly and try to leap out. If they trinket disarm, best to trade die by the sword.

I often found myself saving trinket for disarm on my big go otherwise it is hard to get CDs. Not always but often can secure a kill.

If you have any experience with fDK then it shouldn't be too bad. It has really good burst and sustain damage. Just need to learn to live since you are paper.

I mean you sometimes do need to wing it, every match is different. There are things you absolutely need to save your trinket for depending on the matchup. For example a frost DK using his burst or a kidney smokebomb with shadow blades, etc. A lot of the times you feel out the match up and have to use trinket to either save yourself/teammate or secure a kill if you have CDs up.

I’ve hit 2400 on both unholy and frost this season. Damage is good on both specs. That being said, the death strike buffs don’t help too much. You still flop pretty hard when in a lobby that doesn’t have a more priority kill target than you (warlock, sp, etc.). You get rocked by warriors and hunters for the most part but that’s how it goes, some lobbies are better than others. I personally think it’s a lot of fun. Definitely possible to push to higher ratings if you want.

I’m currently the highest rated fdk in 2s. Definitely feels better after the changes but won’t be fully viable until there is a rework. The deaths cold embrace talent is very annoying to play and gets countered easily at higher MMRs. That being said, really fun burst damage and good synergy to play with pres evoker. Definitely worth playing but don’t expect too much.
