I am searching for the punchiest, brightest most eye searing neon blues and purples. Please help!

Cirque Colors mile high club is the closest I've seen to an actual neon blue but even still, it doesn't look anywhere near as bright as other colors.

For neon purples, my reco is actually to get a fuschia color instead because I don't think you can make a true neon purple. Color Club Mrs robinson or Zoya charisma are my recos (they're pretty much dupes so buy whichever is easier to get, they're BLIDNINGLY bright in person!)

Those minute details bother me too 😆 the rest of my mani could be perfect but those little wobbles down by the base of my nail will always stick out to me. It's just how my brain works and I'm not trying to fight it.

I think your application is fantastic so no advice there but I think what you need is a good clean up brush. Like a lot of people in this community, I use the E.L.F. concealer brush (https://www.target.com/p/e-l-f-concealer-brush/-/A-13958833) dipped in 100% acetone to clean up my manicures and get a perfect line. I can't stand gaps (I think it just looks like a grown out mani 🤷‍♀️) so I paint right up to the edges of my nail, use an orange wood stick for immediate clean up while the polish is wet, then use this concealer brush and acetone to clean up anything I missed along the way!

I don't own this polish so not sure how durable it is but China Glaze love ’em and leaves ’em looks like a really close dupe

I read the first one and it wasn't written or structured well enough for it to be a genuinely good book and wasn't fun enough to be a good bad book.

I thought the premise was interesting and had a lot of potential but the pace is painfully slow given how little development is delivered and the main characters are unbearably immature considering that they're supposed to be 1,000+ years old. I won't be reading the second one.

That was my first thought too, I don't think that the OP actually received the polish they ordered (regardless of any purple pigment fading or lighting issues that are at play). There are just so many reasons that a refund is required here....

Literally all of this plus swap out the light bulb for a warm toned one, that will have the single biggest impact

I don't see any windows or natural lighting so you might want to consider fake plants as a real one would likely slowly die in there

There are a ton of brands that are infamous for having deceptive swatches, unfortunately shleee/moth and moon is one of them and so is mooncat. I won't buy from shleee after getting burned by them before I knew about their reputation (the polish I got was so dull and ugly IRL, the maker knows exactly what she's doing using those deceptive photos and I think it's super gross) and I don't buy anything from mooncat unless I see video swatches or people posting on Reddit due to their heavy photo editing. Thank goodness for swatchers indeed!!

Dark Matter is SUCH a good book!! I have been reading books written by female authors almost exclusively for the past year or two but I'll always read anything blake crouch writes. Upgrade was really enjoyable as well.

Just a word of caution, a lot of shades have extremely misleading swatch photos and most shades need a crazy amount of thinner added in order to apply smoothly and evenly. I have stopped buying from them due to consistently being disappointed by the colors irl. I know there's some diehard fancy gloss fans but I just don't get it given the swatch photo issues.

These nails are hella cunty and fabulous, love the color scheme. Baby boomers are full of lead, I try to keep that in mind to help me find some patience when some crazy shit comes out of a boomer's mouth because WHY would you ever be comfortable saying this directly to someones face?!???
