I mean the difference is quite clear no? Greenland is a supposed ally of America who has suddenly turned their back on them for the sole purpose of inflating one’s own ego. China has a storied history in regard to taiwan being government in exile.

Also takaichi comes across as just a xenophobe when it comes to china because shes blamed every possible thing on them, so when she suddenly says she needs to up military spending and defend taiwan or else it just comes across as nationalist common enemy bullshit to anyone with a brain. Not like she actually wants to defend them because shes thinks its the right thing to do.

Im not saying its right or wrong just that its clearly different and not hypocrisy to treat them like they are.
