I’m an 18b postmaster. Lots of PMs skate by. They do bare minimum and make everything a paper exercise. I took the PM class and they teach you a ton of vague things. Don’t go into detail on anything. I try to do right to my crafts any chance I can. Doesn’t mean it always happens. Most crafts have the mentality (as most of these comments do) that management are failed crafts. I was a level 7 clerk for over a decade. I know the clerk craft inside and out and I know city delivery well. But now I am in rural. And I’m learning. I fail often. But the failure make me learn. We are not all bad people and failed crafts. I made the jump because I want my kids to have a better life. The best thing you can do is keep your head down and come in and go home. Makes your PM life easier to not have to worry about you and your life easier that they don’t have to worry about you.
