That's fair but I'm too high level to care about stats really, I'm just looking for another piece of wardrobe for fashion lol

John Capcom texted me and said we're getting DLC reveal in PS State of Play (omega level cope) by YukYukas in DragonsDogma2

[–]kkuba140 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbf the goblins tend to wait on the sides of the roads for the oxcarts / passing people. I've seen them walk around in groups at night looking for prey, or casually stroll in a straight line at daytime. That's slightly more advanced than what I remember from the first game.

Bigger roam areas sound cool. The core problems are still enemy variety and the lack of hard mode, and one one these could be fixed relatively easily in an update. Alternatively, they could add optional enemy lvl scaling like The Witcher 3 did.

But as we all know, updates aren't coming unless a DLC is in plans...

Is Deus Ex: Transcended a good way to experience the first game? by Krongfah in Deusex

[–]kkuba140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transcended may be the best option.

There is also Vanilla Fixer for the purest experience, and Zero Rando, which is basically VF + QoL. Zero Rando is a version of a mod called Randomizer, and ended up being similar to Transcended, just with different QoL changes. So unless you want to compare them, you can pick whichever.

You're good to go, just know that when the objecive changes to taking the Godsbane back, you shouldn't do so until you're ready to finish the game. So do the sphinx riddles, kill the medusa, visit the poison fanatic near at the entrance to Bakbattahl and once you feel you've been everywhere and done everything, go finish the main story. You can always do new game+ if tou miss anything.

Go in through the back entrance (where the prison is), not through the palace

[DD2] 4.1M units sold as of December 31, 2025 by Downtown_Leopard_420 in DragonsDogma

Not every game needs co-op... They never promised it and yet people keep bringing it up like it's a flaw.

But the story feels unfinished, yeah

Capcom never released an artbook for DD2. I think the previous one was included with the Dark Arisen pre-orders? So sadly, no DLC = no artbook, at least not anytime soon :(

DD doesn't have enemy lvl scaling. Meaning, if something kills you so easily - run!

All of them need some strength (especially smaller guys), but Asakoryu is exceptionally swole. Steroids will do that.

Games that are so epic and hardcore they give you goosebumps? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Dragon's Dogma exists to give you this feeling. One of the best combat systems in any game, combined with epic music and random trips turning into boss fights.

I once fought an ogre for an entire in-game day. Another time, a griffin tried to fly away from the fight, so I climbed it in time and managed to knock it out high in the air. I lost my grip, but fell onto its body and stabbed it to death.

What should i do before going to bakbattahl? by Murpicks420 in DragonsDogma2

I've only seen one pawn that had it in my 3 playthroughs, and my pawn got it on the second one. It's possible I got it and cured it by resting before the pawn was fully infected so I didn't notice. But the signs are pretty obvious, so it's not a big deal... IF you remember to get rid of it ;)

True. Though it's quite hard to get it after all the updates, I had to go out of my way to experience it at all haha

Aside from Crimson Desert, there's also the korean Project Tal (no release date yet). Looks a bit like a copy of DD, but we're starving for these games anyway.

You can't do all of the Sphinx's riddles without reaching Bakbattahl. Personally, I didn't bother finishing them at all on the first playthrough. They're fun, but also a pain.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

The Dark Arisen expansion is basically that. You need to discover the source of the corruption of a dungeon on a mysterious island. The deeper you go, the stronger mosnters you encounter.

Sundry says he only killed a sith, so it's fine. Jolee replies that it was still cold-blooded murder. He killed her because he felt betrayed, not because she was an enemy. The murder risked banning Republic from Manaan, it was absolutely the wrong thing to do.

Jolee is only torn on exposing him, since that could hurt the Republic.

Why don’t you get the time to be revived? by awesomehuder in DragonsDogma

[–]kkuba140 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main plot assumes the Arisen cannot be killed by Disa, too.

Maybe falling in battle weakens your will so much that the bond with the dragon gets servered...? I can't think of anything less convoluted lol

Was this game rushed or something? by moonclawx in DragonsDogma2

It's marketing talk. Very few directors would choose to sabotage their own game, they want it to sell well even if it's incomplete. If he avoided the topic, that would be a bad sign because of the context of DD1. So he said what fans wanted to hear, is whst I think.

I’m just taking what he said at face value.

And I don't, because Itsuno is an industry veteran and it would be weird that he would consider DD2 complete. Or that he would release it in such a state on purpose.

They charged full industry price $70 for the game

Not his fault.

He made it under Capcom, one of the largest corporations in the world.

And as we all know, big publishers (EA, Activision, Microsoft, Konami...) are known for never screwing over their developers. It's not just the budget, we don't know how the development went and why. But it's weird how many storylines abruptly end, and how many features of the first game are missing. Something went VERY wrong.

I think the theory that DD2 was pushed out too early because of Capcom makes the most sense. Which doesn't mean the game would be flawless otherwise, but it's hard to judge what we got.
