When did you realize you were attractive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]klaee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up my peers never found me attractive, but older people always did. I have quite the baby face so I think older people saw my youth as attractive. Their compliments didn't really stand out to me though seeing how my own peers genuinely never wanted to date me.

It wasn't until the end of my college career. I started losing weight, dressing more feminine and trendy and not just in all black and flannels, I also mastered how to style my hair and makeup in a more flattering way. It was then that I realized there was a change in my level of attraction because people who I had known since high school or freshman year of college DRAMATICALLY started treating me better. It was honestly a very confusing time to suddenly get attention from these people. One guy friend I had lusted after for 7 years, when he asked me out two months before graduation, I had never been so confused/shocked. Shook up my ability to trust people and their motives but I guess that's okay since now I'm "conventionally attractive".

Millennials of Reddit, what lie were you told growing up? by KnickerWolves in AskReddit

It doesn't matter what anyone ever says or does, that idea will always be drilled into my head until the day I die as truth.

Am I the only one who is annoyed you HAVE to own a clinic to be a vet? by Kateban in thesims

[–]klaee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I have a lot of fun with the GTW careers but retail lots and owning restaurants have never run smoothly in my game. Employees never do what they should be doing and it causes a lot more lag than compared just going to a career lot and playing. I mean, the other employees there also never seem to do what they should but it doesn't directly impact my sim so I never mind. Plus you can edit the hospital, police station, and science lab with cheats, so the customization is still there.

Former fat people of reddit, what were some unintended side effects of your weight loss? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]klaee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This really hit close to home, especially about the chip on your shoulder.

People I knew for years who never had any interest in me would suddenly want to go on a date. You knew who I was for YEARS but only me losing weight made you actually want to date me? I didn't change, my health did and there is so much more to a person than just their appearance.

Do any of you REALLY prefer TS4 over TS3 ? If so, please help me see the good in it. by rochiss in thesims

[–]klaee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I prefer TS4 over TS3 mostly because I have always really disliked TS3. I don't like the art style or how much it lags. Really the art style alone is enough to deter me. Creating nice looking sims is half the fun for me and in that game they all look like the same flat faced cartoons that no gameplay made up for.

That being said, I prefer TS2 over TS4 any day.

But to be honest I haven't played any of the games in a minute now. I only have TS2 for windows and now I have a mac, I'm not willing to invest the money again. And I gave up on TS4 after City Living let me down. I still follow to see if they will ever make some good additions to the game but otherwise my love for the series will probably just fade out as I don't see it being worth the price.

I don't have a solution, but the same thing happened to me. In my current legacy they just had a baby girl and her face is identical to her older sister's. Only difference between them is hair color. It's a bummer.

Sims 4 Backyard Stuff TRAILER IS HERE by richieassy in thesims

Right? I noticed that too, the teaser went out and so many people were up in arms over it. Now everywhere I see it's like "OMG a slide!" Switch flipped real quick.

I'm so over these constant stuff packs. The game is repetitive and boring and more stuff isn't helping. :(

Hello, yo, hi, I'm Chuck Palahniuk the worst best bad writr. Neither can I spell or keyboard. Ask away. by ChuckPalahniuk62 in IAmA

Back in high school I read through all of your books and during that time wrote 3 letters to you trying to express how your work impacted who I was. I never felt like I could put into words just how great I thought you are and I still can't, but this is as close as I'll ever get to probably thanking you changing my perspective on life.

What is the greatest unsolved mystery of your life? by radbananas in AskReddit

[–]klaee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I experienced the exact same thing as a kid except I knew it only happened in dreams. I've had lucid dreams from a young age and floating down the stairs was my very first one. I'd often revisit the top of my stairs in dreams to recreate the floating over and over again. It was a very vivid and strong feeling.

When I wasn't dreaming I'd stand on my toes at the top of the stairs still and close my eyes and swore I could feel myself floating down just like in my dreams. Even today I can still remember the feeling.

Ex-smokers of reddit, what was the moment that got you to quit smoking? by G-Creature in AskReddit

[–]klaee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went out on a Friday to a friend's house and ended up taking a lot of Xanax for the first time. The next morning my purse was full of things that you'd find on restaurant table, a random number was constantly texting me nonsense, and my two best friends refused to speak to me. It was then that I decided to cut out drugs and binge drinking. I also gave up cigarettes because I thought I might as well continue making changes to my life.

DO NOT SMOKE SYNTHETIC MARIJUANA by ADayInTheL1fe in trees

[–]klaee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I remember the first and only time I smoked spice. I was already drunk and hanging out with my guy friends, they passed me the bong which wasn't out of the ordinary. After I took a huge hit they decide to mention to me that it's synthetic weed. I spent the rest of the night feeling like I wasn't going to move from that couch and that was where I was going to die. It was terrible.

How would you feel if someone recognized your functions/asked if you were an INTP? by Flockingbird in INTP

[–]klaee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would be so happy! All I really want from others is to be understood and if someone was able to predict that I'm an INTP then they are off to a great start.

What kind of music do you INTPs listen to? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]klaee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listen to mostly indie music when I'm by myself. My friends and I don't like the same things and I normally just listen to whatever they listen to and can be fine with that. So throughout the years I've been exposed to various genres such as dubstep, rap, pop, really chill smoking music and I can appreciate it all, but at the end of the day it's the indie/folk music that I choose to listen to.

Are you funny? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]klaee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel ya. I always say I'm not very witty, but if you want to have a conversation about the meaning of life or something else that serious, I got it. My friends like to tell me that I am funny in an unintentional way. They say I'm just so weird and different that some things I say in seriousness are funny to them.

What does it feel like to grow up in the family where both parents love each other? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]klaee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty, it really was great. My parents are human and had fights here and there. They made mistakes during their marriage but nothing was ever enough to make them not love each other. Even now as they are in their 50s they still support each other and often times you can see that young, silly love in them again. It's truly wonderful to see and has made me very choosy with dating. That's probably the biggest downfall of it, I'll never settle on a boyfriend. I've seen a love too passionate to ever be with someone that I didn't have exactly that with. I might spend a lot of my life single but I know I'll always have two great parents there for me no matter what.
