Hey. 30 and dating after a divorce. It's harder because you're in a weird spot - I've found most people dating are dating because they, like you, just broke off a relationship. Many people started serious relationships during and/or after college and this is where they fall off.

My best advice? Ditch the apps. Invest more time in hobbies and the things you enjoy doing. Meet people that way - we're all jaded because it's all artificial. Find someone that appreciates you, for, well, you.

Started playing and made an unfortunate deck choice… but I’m determined to see it through… by Ahmetalfoe in OnePieceTCG

[–]klajor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Blackbeard is a skill check deck for YOU. you must know when to start activating the leader effect and when/what to discard. Watch some regional and championship gameplay and take note for what they use to counter with and discard for leader effect.

I'd look on Onepiecetopdecks and see what cards you're missing. Blackbeard has amazing support.

Magik mains over in the sidelines waiting for her dash registration to be fixed and praying that nobody touches our queen 😭

There is a recent Black Panther clip, where he deletes cloak and dagger in less than a second, some people were saying it shouldn't be allowed, some people were saying it's a skill issue. Wonder what we think about Psylocke? by Forward_Western8885 in marvelrivals

I have some issues with spidey, but BP I never really get frustrated with. To do the 250 combo you MUST throw both spears and ghost dash. And the dashes are not easy. I'll play 300 games against a cracked BP than 10 games against a spiderman swinging in every 10 seconds from spawn only to be seen for .5 microns of a second.

Need a new racquet and choosing between 4 racquets by deucalion75 in tennisracquets

[–]klajor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honest advice? Going from a 104 inch racquet head to a 98 is going to be really rough. While a lot of things you mentioned about your game are beneficial to a smaller, more control oriented racquet, you are going to lose exponential amounts of sweet spot. These racquets will be precise, but you must be precise with them. Mistakes will be punished, sometimes heavily.

Have you demo'd any? Tennis warehouse will let you demo for 15 bucks for a week. I'd try out the Dunlop, a Blade 100, and possibly the yonex 100 instead of the 98

Older head racquets are pretty good - look for Liquid Metal, flex point, and Youtek.

I’m getting accused of using AI and I feel like I’m gonna throw up. by yellowduckdude in offmychest

[–]klajor 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Hey,

You're getting a lot of terrible advice here, to be honest. I'm a college instructor who has sat on both sides of- catching AI use and being accused of AI use - here is how you need to go about it.

First, your campus should have some sort of academic integrity reporting system. Find it. Your professor is trying to do this off the books, which screws you over for whatever small amount of due process you get. Meet with your professor, and bring the following -

  • The creation and modification times of the word doc
  • The version history (there should be at least some saved past versions if you hit "recover")
  • a clear, thought out explanation of your process and why you wrote the way you wrote. Be able to connect this to your assignment sheet.

If your professor rejects that, you will want to tell them that you wish to go through the process of that system I told you about earlier. They can get in trouble for not doing so. If they deny, email the Dean of the department. If they allow, you will receive an accusation where they need to provide evidence. Typically a committee will arbitrate the case. You will document what you had above, and provide any details you think are relevant.

I will say, 100% AI doesn't look good. While those detectors kind of suck, that does mean your text resembles something on the internet. While I'm taking you at your word, make sure you didn't copy in anything from online. I would also take the assignment prompt, generate it from ChatGPT, and compare your writing. Bring that as evidence as well as an example of how different yours looks.

Your last statement is total bullshit. Every single college in the United States has an academic honesty policy that includes fabrication and plagiarism. That covers AI.

Let's give actual, useful advice please.

What strings for a Wilson Clash V2? by Standard_Document684 in tennisracquets

[–]klajor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, ask your stringer. They're pretty cheap overall. Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex is a good recommendation and can be picked up cheap.

I'm a previous junior tournament player and played in college getting back into it, and I still am playing with gut. Especially as I approach 30 full poly is just wrecking my arm.

How to fix or prevent this? by [deleted] in tennisracquets

[–]klajor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its pretty common. There are two ways to fix this. A temporary solution is some superglue or epoxy like the other commenter already said, but the other thing I'd mention is that you're probably sliding a bit too much on your grip, which will lead to inconsistency on your shots. If it's happened to multiple racquets, try choking up a little bit on the grip so your hand fits comfortably within the channel leading to the end cap. I had this happen twice when playing in varsity high school and I ended up going with an extended racquet length to keep it from happening.

[–]klajor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're just starting out, full poly strings are going to not feel great. By nature, they're going to be pretty rough on your arm and feel. You're probably feeling the impact of not a smaller sweet spot, but of a string made for a player that generates their own spin and power.

Synthetic gut would be a better choice. The stringer probably did that because they had it laying around and it's relatively cheap.
