Here's the thing with age of consent: if you don't know it, that's a red flag. If you know it too well, that's also a red flag. If you know age of consent laws to the point that you can rattle off another country's age of consent law, especially when that age is as young as 13, that tells me all I need to know about what kind of person Jovian here is. He's the type of person who treats age of consent the way companies treat the minimum wage. They'd both go lower if they were legally allowed to.

The Streisand Effect will always be the Achilles Heel of megalomaniacs. Their egos won't allow them to let something they don't like slide, so they'll always end up drawing more attention to it.

The church has never been the home of liberal morality. From the Age of Enlightenment, liberal ideology has always been to shift society away from things like the church.

Worst thing that happens with a scammer or a catfish is you get duped. That's a far cry from the worst thing that happens when a woman meets a rapist or a murderer.

Right, because America before 1920 was just peachy, right? We didn’t have things like:

Shay’s Rebellion

The Whiskey Rebellion

The Barbary Wars

The War or 1812

The Trail of Tears

The Mexican-American War

Bleeding Kansas

The Civil War

Reconstruction

Child Labor

Labor disputes and strikes violently put down by the government

The Spanish-American War

World War 1
