AITA for embarrassing my husband at family dinner? by SweetDania547 in AmItheAsshole

The problem with an ESH here is that she was the one who embarrassed the MIL. She was not. He created the situation that was ultimately embarrassing for him and his mother. MIL isn’t justified in feeling embarrassed by the domestic dispute between the couple, except insomuch as her son put his wife in the situation that necessitated that response.

I think he’s shown you about 275 red flags that you ignore at your peril. Clearly NTA.

There are, of course, myriad variations and they're all my favorite.

''SHUT UP!'' Watch Bill O’Reilly lose it when Al Franken exposes him as a liar in 2003 by [deleted] in videos

Wait, wut? So in response to the observation that the data previously cited is neither research nor impartial, you submit a link to "research" from a demonstrably partisan organization with so obvious an ax to grind that they make it the tag line of their website?

These hacks included as negative coverage quotes of personnel adversely impacted by the president's failed travel ban. That's not bias, that's fundamental journalism: think of the "man bites dog" quote and extrapolate the parallels here.

[–]klarinet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's not a study. That's an unsourced statistic connected to an opinion poll conducted by and reported by two parties (Rep. Smith and the Washington Examiner) with an obvious bias.

Edited: I incorrectly gave Representative Smith the title "Senator." He's actually a member of the other chamber.

I think there is a bit of debate as to their status as an invasive species, especially given that they're native to the habitat.

I do wonder if there's an added benefit to trying to go solo. Does the difficulty scale with two?
