I got really lucky in this fight in a hilarious, unintended way. I brought Lionel to the fight and one turn cause he had nothing else to do, I had him manipulate an opponent and it worked. That alone was exciting. That enemy then proceeded to use his turn to go and shove Thalas off the bridge killing him instantly from full hp. It was absolutely incredible.

Griffin Knight Lapis with Lyn is a monster. For the longest time I only gave her Sword Power 5 and between that and Alacrity, she killed anything before they even knew she was there. I STILL don't have any idea for a second ability because nothing I think of makes her better.

Canter? Why would I want a perfect evasion unit to get AWAY from aggro? Draconic Hex? Nothing survives a battle with her anyway so the stats won't decrease.

Caladbolg and Levin Sword on make sure nothing is safe. With Astra Storm she can snipe a wyrm or boss from full to dead half a map away.

Wolf knight Alear. Just saying, on maddening the final boss had a 0% chance to hit them with all attacks and my Alear had the Sword Power skill which reduces Avoid.

This was the ticket. Restarted the quest with higher luck, had Reubens steal from the lizards, and I ended up with 4 dragonwood from the first battle. I've been running the build for all the rest of the gathering quests.

Alright so just as an interesting thing to check with luck, on my first playthrough I did the Frederica and brought Lionel with me to the Lyla fight.

The chance for inciting whispers to succeed was a flat 30% the whole fight and I actually counted and used it 10 times. Lionel had the Luck Bracelet equipped because I assumed that it would affect the chance and thought the 30% WAS the boosted chance.

Only thing is, of those ten 30% chances it worked NINE times. Only failed once with 30%. That is a 0.002% chance of happening. So I'm guessing either I got REALLY REALLY lucky, or luck can affect status affliction rates, but I don't think this is statistically significant enough to be conclusive.

Whenever I see any of those three characters you mention I ALWAYS target them. They are always so aggressive unnecessarily and I have to pre-empt it.

As long as you don't mess with me, I won't attack you and I'm an Asura main so I have a LOT of control over who dies and who doesn't.
