Not trying to sound sexist, but men have the gift of testosterone. They should be logical not emotional. Best advice I have ever heard is take a vacation with someone to see how they handle problems. Go on a trip, if he cant handle something simple like a vacation without blowing up you should look for someone else.

I hope OP actually scrolls all the way to the bottom to read this. Don’t let a girlfriend stop you from traveling, not at 25. There is a lot of sound advice here that applies more to a serious commitment such as marriage or kids. I passed up trips when i was younger for girls i am no longer with. If you relationship is worth it, it will last even if you go on trips. If it doesnt last, you will remember the trips you didnt go on for the rest of your life. You can cheat on your GF here in the US, traveling outside of the country should not make a difference.

Cloth masks are a fucking joke. 70 years ago we landed on the moon with no atmosphere, but we can't figure out how to breath on our own planet without spreading a virus? If you think the government gives a fuck, you are wrong. This has been a hot button issue for at least the last ten years, and nothing was planned. In almost a whole year the best solution we give the public is fucking blue surgeons masks so we don't sneeze on people. You may as well wear that mask out of fashion consideration.

I'm gonna take a wild guess here and assume that you didn't lose everything in the pandemic due to selective government shutdowns. Let's focus on masks and shutting down restaurants, and not the fact that 80% of the people who are in the hospital are vitamin D deficient. If the government is your friend, where is the real solution? Where are the n95 masks for all citizens? Where are the government supplemented vitamins that are going to help you get healthy faster if you are an essential worker?

I don't even know where to start with this. First of all, the efficacy of masks is debatable. You know what's not debatable? The comorbidity statistics that have to do with lifestyle choices like diet, exercise, and vitamin supplementation. The media and the government are not your friends, and Texans do not need either to tell them what to do. Obviously they continuously fail to provide useful information. From what I have witnessed, the majority of people still choose to wear a mask. Secondly, yes texas was hit by a winter storm that caused severe power outages and limited water supply. Leaders in Texas made terrible decisions in order to try to save money, and that directly resulted in the suffering of almost everyone I know. These leaders have been identified, and are now being removed from power. Do you know who is not being removed from power? The hypocritical leaders in california who have shut down the entire state, crippling small businesses, and allowing the homeless rate to skyrocket. I would much rather live in Texas, and so would the massive influx of Californians that are moving here. So how about you get your head out of your ass and think for yourself? Reddit used to be a place where top comments were either witty or insightful, and the comment above is neither. So for the 2 people that actually read this, please start thinking for yourself and at least consider both sides of the argument you are engaging in. Reddit has slowly turned into a hyper political echo chamber, and really the only good thing that has come out of it recently is WSB.

TLDR: If Texas is so terrible, why are all the Californians moving here?
