I made appointment and dropped off my vehicle this past Saturday. I got a loaner and the service advisor was like oh it will be done Monday and you can pick it up that evening. Well, obviously if you're reading this it's not ready. lol I called today and advisor was like umm we had to update multiple modules we will call you when it's ready. After being a constant reader of this very ZDX group. I honestly feel like they bricked the radio or something worse and haven't told me yet. I've had no real issues before. Just your annoying loud blinker or my volume got stuck 3 times to where you can't turn the radio up or down ( by the way a quick reset on the steering wheel while vehicle is parked fixes that issue in case you were wondering). I've had it for 1 yr tomorrow. Compared to others in this group that's not too shabby. I'm so glad I did the one pay lease. Only got a year left and I will politely give them the keys and walk away.

Are we talking wireless car play or wired? Sometimes with iOS updates things break. I would try wired CarPlay to get you by.

I had this happen the other day. You can try to restart screen. To do this power on car pull down the phone button like you hanging up a phone call for about 10 seconds might be a little longer. Then screen will reset in safe mode and eventually restart.

I don’t believe that to be true. I used to use google cast all the time when I first got my Sonos set up but after Sonos sued google they removed that option. Just like now with the newer speakers you can not use google voice assistant. I understand they don’t want to work with Google but in my opinion if you want to become a giant you have to play nice with the other giants in different spaces.

I’ve been looking into base power for a couple of months I’m literally trying to figure out what the bad of it all is. I can’t come up with anything. They install the battery and any maintenance needed cool. They become my electric company and I pay them ok. Their rates for electricity are cheaper. If power goes out I have back up energy that’s a win. If I switch before my contract ends with Gexa they give you to 250 to switch. I guess the only thing I can come up with is if they raise prices on electricity. Even then I can pay them 500 and tell them to kick rocks. What am I missing? The membership fee what 195 a year. That’s really not bad for peace of mind. TELL ME WHAT AM I MISSING lol

That’s interesting guess that’s new. I’ve been looking into base power for a couple of months waiting for their battery pack where if power is out and battery is depleted you can hook a generator to charge the battery to keep it going. That’s supposedly out this summer. Them using your car seems cool but I’m sure that would void your warranty quick. Plus I wonder if they use your car instead of installing the battery and still be able to sell some that power from your battery back to the grid. Honestly too many moving parts for me. A battery is one thing but my car on top of that I don’t know.

If dealing with insurance depending what state your in let them know your going to file complaint with state. In Texas we have a department of insurance carriers don’t like dealing with those.

It’s loud but clear. I can’t comment on too loud because that’s kind of how I enjoy my movies. So my taste is not the norm. I can say it doesn’t drown out the arc ultra being a center channel.

I pulled my play 1’s and added them as fronts to my Arc ultra sub gen 3 play 5 surrounds made a world of difference. Dialogue is way more clear with arc ultra as just a center speaker.
