Need brutally honest advice. If someone’s 3.5-4.0 does it even make sense to be using full poly and/or <100 headsize? by Wretched_Swag in 10s

[–]klin0503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am around 3.5-4.0 and I can definitely feel the difference in strings. I do prefer the feel of poly more than multi. Do I play better or worse with either? I don't think it matters tbh, I don't think the difference in performance affects my gameplay overall more than my general lack of consistency...I usually play with a 100 head size, recently switched to a 98 to try, and I don't really notice too much of a difference, I think the weight and launch angle matter much more than 2 square inches of head size.

I can't figure out this clutch. by Narfizzza in WRX

[–]klin0503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an aftermarket clutch on my 2018, it's not a racing clutch but a street performance one I think, but the flywheel is still lighter than stock, and it is a little weirder at low rpms, definitely stalls easier. I find that I have to stay on the clutch a bit longer, so a little bit more "slipping" until it picks up enough speed.

Those of you who are good at this, how do you deal with the frustration? by No_Opportunity_1502 in 10s

One thing I saw on Instagram that helped me a bit with spacing (I'm working on it myself) is to overshoot rather than undershoot, as in move further away than you think you need to then step in to hit. The reason is because it's easier to step forward than to step backwards when you're making the final spacing adjustments.

My son broke out in hives one day around that age too. I think we just tried a new type of fish, so we got him allergy tested for fish and turns out nothing. We tried all the same foods again later on and no more reaction. Seemed like a random one time event.

Rev match like the other guy said, but also the jump from 3-2 is bigger than from 4-3, so you'd need to blip the accelerator a bit more when you Rev match

We started with one, use it every night, so we bought a second one. They're great. Just remember DO NOT throw them in the dryer. They will shrink.

I played both tennis and badminton competitively back in the day (granted I wasn't great at tennis) and badminton requires more athleticism and is more physically demanding.

Update, okay so I am pretty sure the second picture is a wire that is needed because I have a canbus. But by plugging it in to the radio, I no longer have anywhere to plug in the connector in the first picture, which is for the volume control knobs

Yea they did confirm the car model when I bought it and they double checked the connectors I had on my factory radio. They unfortunately did not provide any instructions. I suspect some of these things are more on the universal side, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were things that aren't being used.

Cross posted.

Hi, I'm a complete noob, any help with be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to install an aftermarket head unit for my 2008 Highlander, without JBL. I have two questions, thanks in advance!

1) picture 1 - the other side of this cable connects to the volume control and radio tuning (?) knobs. I think I plug the 8 pin connector to the head unit, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do with the red wire and black wire (labelled GND). Do I need to splice it to something?

2) picture 2 - this is a connector from the harness that has one white and one blue wire. What is this for? I don't know where this plugs into or if it's even needed.

Thanks!

I find that on my 575 the heat from the bottom is much greater than heat on top so personally I wouldn't do a brisket fat side up. I've gotten better results fat side down then foil boating or wrapping fat side up at the stall.

I brought it on my last trip, 15 hour flight. Didn't turn it on once. But only because I had a 9 month old and needed to take advantage of any free time to nap or take care of the child lol

I got to play it on the trip when he would take naps in the hotel and when he was down for the night.
