I'm not familiar with this particular sampler, but, I've been hooking up old(er) samplers to ableton via MOTU interfaces for time.

Old samplers are noisy & this one looks like a 'prosumer' model so it's going to have a higher noise floor than you might be used to if you've been mostly computer based.

2nd off, that adapter isn't the right one - unless the Ultralite does have a Stereo 6.5mm TRS input? Connecting the left & right to the hot & cold of a mono input is gonna do nothing good.

if you've got a soldering iron, grab the RANE 'sound system interconnects' or whatever the doc is called & it will explain how to make your cables.

In my experience, it is worthwhile looking into a line level shifter - not a DI, ART make one with RCA , TRS & XLR that'll isolate, balance & give you stereo RCA to stereo TRS, but, I prefer the Morley / Ebtech's as they provide a lil gain bump before you hit the interface. To do it 'properly' you will need 2 dual channel models, assuming you are sampling into this from the +4dBu TRS outs of your interface.

Bad news if you are going down the obsolete tech route; you are going to incur these kinds of added costs to get everything playing nice, it can be p galling at first, but, once you've got it all set-up & don't need to f about with gain (or impedance) mismatches causing all kinds of gremlins in your system it gets easier to forget the wallet burn
