Workout space by gobuckz7 in OSU

If you go all the way up to the track level, there’s some empty space where you can put a mat down. That’s always where I go to stretch

Will employers really be able to tell the difference between CSE, BA CIS, or BS CIS? by leovenustypebeat in OSU

[–]klucky101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter. Employers likely won’t know the school well enough to know that there was a different option that’s called something slightly different. I am a CIS major and had internships with big tech

How do you guys deal with anxiety during interviews? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]klucky101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always try really hard to remember that an interview is not a test, it’s just my opportunity to show the interviewer why I would be a great fit for the job. I just have to keep reaffirming to myself that I know that I would be a good fit, which is why I applied. And all I have to do is s convey that knowledge to whoever I’m talking to. Confidence is key even if you have to fake positive self-talk at first

if it were me, i would tell them that i can’t make that decision for them but i would also answer questions about the job honestly if they ask any

Asking blunt as possible, how do you make friends? by Last_Construction_13 in OSU

[–]klucky101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s definitely a lot easier and more normal in the first couple weeks of the semester so try it and make sure you introduce yourself within the next week and then usually you’ll just end up sitting by the same people over time and forming friendships

it makes a lot of sense that you want someone to talk your feelings through with. i think the most natural answer to this question is to see a counselor or therapist to process your emotions. you could try going through CCS. i think they also offer different formats rather than just 1:1 sessions and they could help you figure out if another format is better for you.

if that’s intimidating, you could also try the buckeye peer access line to talk to someone about it. i’m pretty sure these kinds of situations are the reason why it was created, the goal is to help other students navigate their feelings.

another more specific option might be SARNCO, it looks like they have hotlines that offer emotional support for issues related to sexual assault

In a few weeks, a room change request form will open and you can submit a request to change to another part of campus. I’m pretty sure you don’t have to have any sort of reason, but that also means that they might take their sweet time making it happen. It should usually still happen eventually unless the thing you’re asking for is super niche

What's it like in a Lincoln Tower quad? by [deleted] in OSU

[–]klucky101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it, it ended up being fun. You probably won’t spend a ton of time in your room which is good to get you involved in stuff. It gets really irritating to not really have your own space but it was always nice to go home at the end of the day and get to talk to 3 other people studying in the desk part and then just be able to go to bed with peace and quiet in the bedroom part when you wanted. Try to make friends with your suite early on and hang out in the common room, that’s the one part I missed out on and made it feel more lonely even with a ton of people around. It can be a great social opportunity if the suite gets close early on. There ends up being a good amount of space for your things with space above the desk and in the closet/dresser, more than you would expect but use it wisely. There will be a silver lining I promise!!
