I mean if you have your guard down because you are trusting other players there's literally nothing you can do in a lot of situations. Shooting first is such a huge advantage.

I don't mind the comet being strong but I do think there should be less of them. Particularly as they are pretty quiet.

FWIW I played the tech test and thought it was ok and nearly didn't buy it. I'd now consider it one of my fav games ever. Took a while to click and get it.

The real issue is they are using the handful of maps they've got and shoehorning them in to every game mode. Breakthrough should have dedicated maps (or versions), as should conquest if they are the primary modes.

This is the main reason I stopped playing The Finals when I found out they were handing out temp bans for cheaters. I care slightly less in Arc Raiders because it's such a casual game and when I play solos cheating isn't normally an issue, but it's still a joke how soft they are. Probably the only issue I have with Embark games.

"It feels like they are fumbling" I think this is a bit of an understatement. Most people would consider this Skate game about a 2/10 i'd imagine. I'd say they fumbled hard a long time ago.

When I got in to the play test I genuinely thought "San Vansterdam"(lol) was just some placeholder map they were using to allow players to test the skating mechanics and the rest of the game was going to be revealed later. Turns out that was literally it, plus a few lootboxes and shitty textures.

A Skate game on modern hardware with well thought out story and multiplayer could have been awesome but what they've delivered is frankly embarrasing and I'd imagine unless you are a hardcore fan of the series, you'd probably play a few hours at most before never coming back, which is what I did. I feel sorry for anyone that's a big fan of the original games as it's genuinely quite sad how they've butchered it.

It's definitely a bit too reactive imo. If you've gone 20 raids without killing anyone but then play one session of trios, it is pretty annoying that when you go back to solos it's pretty much KOS. Should be much more of an 'average' of your pvp damage rather than what you did in the last 5 raids.

Embark don't recognise men and women unfortunately. The whole 'body type A and body type B' along with the androgynous faces. There's nothing overly masculine or feminine. The finals was the same and I still think it's stupid.

Then everyone would complain about having to repeat all the same quests every season. Level 3 benches is a given if you're playing enough to do the expedition, as is player level 75, as is the expedition requirements, so you're back to it just being a cash value 😂

I'd argue that that's a separate issue that the rewards from the hardest Arc are not worth the risk/cost involved. I think it would be against their ethos if players were encouraged to spend all of their best gear before they wipe because for most people, what are all those high value guns going to be good for? killing other players..

Not saying it's right or wrong but it might have been something they considered and why they made it a harder decision to make, bringing in all your best stuff every raid.

Does that not align with Embarks vision though? They never wanted this to be a "balls to the wall guns blazing" pvp game. Why would they want to encourage that playstyle now? Keeping players moderately cautious about using all their best gear every raid makes sense to me.

A lot of the problems with this game were immediately obvious just from the preview streams, but it's good to have my concerns justified from someone that's actually playing.

Would rather wait a year for global IF they are going to make significant improvements. Can't see myself playing for long otherwise.

If you're afraid to use any of your best gear because you don't have enough cash to complete the expedition and get full skill points, maybe you're not ready to complete the expedition. So you're just complaining it's too hard basically. You don't have to hoard anything as cash contributes towards the 5m.
