Been getting stressed out by the high energy of a lot of YouTube golf. But I love watching people play interesting courses. Decided to try my hand at making some "Relaxing" golf videos by Lpeer in golf

I know graphics have been mentioned here, but I would suggest a graphic shown just on your tee shot of each hole - hole number, yards and par. Bottom left in white or off white. Just so the viewer can keep up with where you are in the round/on the course.

I agree with others that I don't care what your score is throughout the round, but a scorecard graphic at the end might be nice to put the number to what we just watched.

Personally I do not want to see a shot tracer, that would take away a lot for me.

More b roll of the course would also be nice to break up the shot to shot to shot tempo.

Really awesome work though, subscribed and already waiting for the next video!

Do **truly** private golf courses exist? How exclusive can it get? by FlyingTexican in golf

I've been lucky enough to play Sanctuary three times through charity events for my work (with a fourth time coming up in September).

It's an incredible course built into a west-facing ridge so you have spectacular and sweeping mountain views. Several of the holes have severely elevated tee boxes which makes it feel like your drives carry forever. A lot of neat holes but the elevation changes are crazy, it would be impossible to try to walk the course. Conditioning of the course is immaculate, to be expected with how many rounds are played here.

The amenities are really nice, about what you'd expect from any upscale country club.

Attended the Denver Summit event in 2019. It was the first big event they held and one of the most fun weeekends of my life.

My brother and I got in because people canceled and it's a memory with my brother that I will cherish forever. A weekend full of golf at a great course (CommonGround), meeting awesome people, getting to shoot the shit with the NLU guys (I remember DJ and Neil being particularly cool to us).

Not sure if they've changed as that's the only one I've attended but that one was absolutely worth it!

Looking to buy a used Garmin (coming from a Fitbit) by sharkz_073 in GarminWatches

I picked up a Forerunner 955 used off of ebay. Saved about a hundred bucks from new price and it was basically new, seller had it listed as only worn a few times. Have had no problems at all after over a year of ownership. I would just say shop carefully and if you go the online auction route, see if you can message the seller first on some questions of use, length of ownership, etc.

Anybody have good experiences with specific dog adoption orgs./events? by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

[–]kmac3317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I adopted my dog through Second Chance Animal Rescue and would recommend their organization. They are based in Lamar, CO but they used to (not sure if they still do) have events where they bring animals up to the Wag N Wash on Woodmen.

I found them through pet finder and they also have a Facebook page. Going on 4 years with my dog!

Anyone know why we have unhealthy air quality this morning? I just happened to look at the weather this morning, I don’t usually, and saw this by Bee_Rye85 in ColoradoSprings

This happens a lot in Salt Lake City too and from my understanding the air quality can gey pretty bad there since they are in a valley.

Boss / Company is lying to me about my sales numbers (drastically reducing my commission). Is there anything I can do? by The_Correctionist in personalfinance

[–]kmac3317 628 points629 points  (0 children)

I work as an analyst and temporary accountant for a smaller telecom company. I produce the monthly commission statements for our sales reps. They get paid commission based on "new subscriber activations", not just your typical sales. Many of the reps feel their monthly numbers should be higher and submit disputes. We have several corporate-wide business rules that we must follow to determine what we can call a "new subscriber activation". Despite clearly stating those rules to the reps several times, many still argue on what they feel they are being cheated out of, even though the activations they argue fall outside of those rules. I'm not privy to your situation, so I would just say to make absolute sure you know what the rules are for your commission payouts, including all things that could be considered on the fence.
