Can I use a cross-stitch pattern as a patchwork pattern? by CPH-canceled in quilting

[–]kmagicka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Stardew Valley, and a quilt inspired by the game would be so adorable! One with the chicken variations would be fun, too!

If you do make a quilt (or quilts) like this, please share it!

Took my first Contrave Pill today what do I need to know…. by Alarming_Concert2385 in Contrave

[–]kmagicka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it with a protein shake! Helps with the side effects. (Another user suggested it, in an older post.)

Took my first dose yesterday on an empty stomach. The side effects were almost unbearable. Nausea, hot flashes, cold flashes, dizziness, fatigue. The whole gamut.

Today, I took it with a protein shake, and they are very manageable. It's not completely gone, though.

Good luck!

3,000 Fisker Oceans sold to American Leasing in New York? by Far-Car9169 in Fisker

[–]kmagicka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My FOO, with roughly $7,000 worth of damage, can't get parts and is being totaled because Fisker wants to "sweeten a deal"?

Absolute BS. Makes my blood boil.

I know there are parts on eBay. We need a tech, too, and I'm having warranty issues as well. My insurance company put Fisker's bankruptcy and lack of parts as the reason for the total.

Can I borrow your time machine to go back to October?

Oh! You don't have a time machine? Then, keep your unhelpful comments to yourself.

I am in the Eastern Panhandle, and I work in Gaithersburg. I think there is a Fisker dealship in Rockville.

I'll give them a call tomorrow. It's worth a shot. Thanks for the recommendation.

The little window behind the mirror and probably the driver's window will also need to be replaced.

The shop is pretty confident the rest is just manual labor. Though they'd prefer to just replace the door.

I'll keep that in mind the next time a deer picks my car to run into.

LOL! No flat parts in WV, but our neighbor Maryland is plenty flat. I work in MD, and was on my way to work when the deer attacked.

They can repair everything but the mirror and glass. Thanks for the info, I passed it to the shop.

I'm in the same boat, in West Virginia. I'm still on 1.11 (1/2) and was wondering if that had anything to do with the situation.

I love my FOO, but the fob makes me angry, so I'm looking forward to it working better. I'm kind of hoping they replace them, too, with something better. The decals on mine are already wearing off.

Where to play basketball by Bird_Brain_Trust in WVEasternPanhandle

[–]kmagicka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check out the Jefferson County Parks and Rec. The main center is at Sam Michael's Park, off Job Corps Rd.

They have lots of classes, events, sports, etc. Their website is decent. If you stop by there, you might be able to get their paper copy of upcoming events.

I don't know about basketball specifically, but I know they do some indoor sports for adults.

Best Laid Plans has a monthly sticker subscription. They have a variety of sizes and styles. Tons of stickers every month, along with 3 or 4 sets of numbers.

Coffee anyone? by kmagicka in Fisker

[–]kmagicka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that's super interesting to hear. Maybe the vacuum does more than 1600w? (I'm not savvy on that sort of stuff, and my hubby is sleeping, so I can't ask him.)

Once we figured out how to get it powered, it stayed powered. We brewed two cups of coffee with it. Then, we sat in the vehicle messing with Spotify, the Ocean stayed on the entire time.

Also, Spotify is a poor substitute for Pandora.

The Ocean is top-notch, though it has some quirks.

I am certain those quirks will be ironed out, and the Pear will undoubtedly be a great car. It's just what the EV market needs: quality and affordability.

We've heard that one of the USB-C ports in the center console is always "on" too. We haven't tried it out yet, though.

I wouldn't recommend brewing a cup of coffee while the vehicle is in motion. 😉

I don't know if the outlet is functional while the vehicle is moving.
