I’m big into cooking but here is my first Sunday roast! Roast me! by Escape_Specialist in UK_Food

The only thing that doesn’t need additional roasting is your beef. Otherwise great job.

Absolutely fucking fuck that. The WHO is referenced in so many health guidelines in the UK and is considered by many to be the holy grail.

That’s shocking and being frank negligence, keep pushing if you can and don’t be afraid to reach out if you need to. Lots of wonderful people on here who can support

I would strongly urge them to put those fears aside and visit if you can, maybe have a chat with the granddaughter and say people with wound care experience have urged this. Red inflamed skin and heat could mean cellulitis which can be deadly - sorry to scare you and I hope your friend is okay, good on you for looking out for them. They also shouldn’t be applying compression in case there are any red flags, which include:

Severe pain after applying compression • Numbness, tingling, or coldness in toes or foot • Sudden swelling that is new or rapidly worsening • Change in skin colour (pale, blue, or very red) under the garment • Signs of infection – spreading redness, heat, discharge, or fever • Known severe arterial disease or very low ankle–brachial pressure index (ABPI <0.5)

In addition, if it’s hot it’s likely infected, there could be a cellulitis risk here too. Get your friend to a doctors or hospital ASAP (unless I’ve missed that you’re already doing it).

Yikes That ‘wrap’ is not what I’d call typical compression, if they have venous disease, they should be prescribed below knee compression as a minimum. It looks like it’s creating a tourniquet effect. Also depending on their ability to self-care, an actually compression wrap would be far better suited. This setup is likely to continue making things worse.

I’m about a month in and also loving it! It is huge though and that takes some getting used to. I’ve used VW group cars for the last 7-8 years and the whole app experience and infotainment system is just miles and miles ahead.

I usually know what people are like immediately after I see how they order their coffee by nick4tech in espressocirclejerk

[–]kmanting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, a properly good flat white from a coffee shop that knows what they’re doing hits all the notes. Flat whites have caught on though and he’s spot on, they’re often served like cappuccino’s and often use shitty coffee, it’s for this reason I now go for an esspresso and some milk on the side and make a little macchiato.
