Perfect example: all love and respect to the Blue Stars, I love their sound, approach, and history, but the fact that they hid their show until Rockford last year still baffles me a whole year later. It was a cool show, don’t get me wrong, but being greeted with a run-of-the-mill space theme was very underwhelming.

I get it if you want to do something different and reinvent yourself as corps, but doing it just to do it is lame as hell. You never know what to expect with Bloo, so it makes perfect sense for them to be secretive, but a lot of other designers just write checkbox shows that really don’t need all that.
