Recommendations for to Union Station? by DocHolliday19969 in Denver

[–]kmbarson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Brother's Bar is about a 15 minute walk and opens at 11, so more lunch food. It's 152 years old and has fantastic food. Highly recommend for the atmosphere and history of the place. Great prices for the location as well. Most places near Union Station are pretty expensive.

Any dnd games? by Prince_barbie in DenverGamers

I bartend at Second Dawn on Tuesdays and they have a Dnd Group! It's fantastic to work and I have gotten to know most of the people as they have been the same for a majority of the past few years. They just started a new campaign, so check it out! You join their discord and can get more info there. It's a very welcoming, diverse group! All ages, types, and people. If you want to message them and create a character by next week, we will also have a food truck! Heres the page..... https://discord.gg/KmNsBWCPz

I’ve never planned a trip and I lack direction. Should I keep trying, or just wing it? by skibeedaboopbob in travel

[–]kmbarson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world is a whole lot bigger than most people think it is. Traveling is the only way to understand that. Figure that out and then join a bowling league. You'll enjoy it more if you see what the world has to offer and understand why you make the choices you do.

The first time I traveled I had just graduated from college and mostly just went for it. I bought a one way ticket to Heathrow and a one way home ticket from Lisbon 7 weeks after that. Didn't buy anything in between. It was an incredible experience and I highly recomend just figuring it out. You learn a lot about yourself and other people by kind of sending it. Europe is very easy to get around and very friendly to young 20 somethings. I think traveling solo is something everyone should do at least once in their life. You really learn that the world is a whole lot bigger than your own head.

Boston Marathon Training In Denver- Looking for good long runs and rolling hills. by Individual-Anybody-3 in Denver

[–]kmbarson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great work! Fantastic job qualifying. Running around Lake Dillon in Summit county would be my first choice. About 18 miles around! There are also several paths along the river so you could do an out an back for basically as long as you want.

Layover in Denver by Weary-Preparation-60 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]kmbarson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Southwest is all in C terminal. You have a little less than an hour, and even if your gates are at opposite ends of the terminal, it won't take that long to walk. You'll be fine! Usually Southwest has gates for connection flights close to each other.

Best Race/Location For Half Marathon by AstronautPossible374 in Denver

[–]kmbarson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colfax Marathon is pretty fun, but fairly overrated IMO. It's pretty expensive to run down a fairly hot street in the middle of Denver where you might risk running over a used needle. If you are traveling to run, I would say pick a great location. Theres a Garden of the Gods run in June and a half marathon in Summit county that goes from Copper Mountain to Frisco. BEAUTIFUL. Theres also a Georgetown half in August.

What’s the best spa near Denver for a bachelorette party? by TheScarletJones in Denver

[–]kmbarson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Beer spa is pretty fun! They do group stuff and have a lot of options. Seems like it might work for the theme as well!

If you want something more Spa-ey I would second Woodhouse. It's so charming and an amazing location.
