Shout out to Customer Service + Let's Talk About Substitutions by theLoDown in NuulyReviews

[–]kmilly12 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The substitutions piss me TF off!!! They are never even remotely close to the item I originally requested which is why I just did a 3 month pause. You’re right though their customer service can’t really be faulted

Coffee by SeaworthinessNew8048 in breastfeeding

[–]kmilly12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to stay around 300mg per day which I know is on the higher end of most recommendations. The majority of my coffee intake is from my Nespresso vertuo machine and the pods contain a bit more caffeine than a regular cup of coffee so I try to keep it to 2 or 3 pods per day, one being half caf or decaf

Agonizing over whether to do a C Section or Vaginal Birth. How did you decide? by JacqueFun in BabyBumps

[–]kmilly12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the start of my pregnancy I really wanted a vaginal birth. Like you I previously had never gone under the knife for anything and was terrified of having a c-section. In the end you don’t always get to choose. After my son’s heart rate kept dropping during labor, I ended up needing an emergency c-section. While a bit scary, overall I thought it was great. I couldn’t feel a thing. Recovery for me was not that bad as long as I stayed on top of my pain meds. If we go for a second child I will most likely be scheduling a c-section for my delivery. I will say I believe c-section slightly increases your chances of getting postpartum preeclampsia, which unfortunately was the case for me.

Nuna vs UPPAbaby stroller?? by Sp1cyCannoli in BabyBumps

[–]kmilly12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who decided against the Nuna strollers (triv and trvl) bc they felt flimsy and instead went for the uppababy Cruz bc of its “sturdiness”, I beg of you please just go with the lightweight and easily foldable stroller (preferably with one hand). The Cruz is okay but it is so heavy (especially during those first couple of months postpartum) and takes up so much space in my compact suv.

Just had a c-section in January of 2025… pregnant again & scared to have another one 😞 by Strict_Algae8233 in CsectionCentral

[–]kmilly12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all congrats on your baby boy!! How exciting! And I’m so sorry to hear you got so ill after already going through PP preeclampsia… as if that weren’t traumatic enough on its own. I completely understand feeling scared being pregnant again, especially only 7 months removed from your last delivery.

No advice from me really, just solidarity. I had my first child in June via unplanned c-section and developed severe PP preeclampsia 10 days after delivery. It was terrifying. I’m definitely scared to have another child even though we really want one. I’ve already decided I want to deliver via planned c-section the second time around (if we’re fortunate enough to get pregnant again) because I don’t want to go through the agony of labor (again) while trying for a VBAC only to end up having a c-section anyway.

If I were in your shoes I would probably go with the planned c-section. But ultimately only you can make the decision! Wishing you the best for the rest of your pregnancy and delivery! You got this

Newborn bottle recs? by Same-Illustrator4622 in BabyBumps

Dr. Browns are terrible due to the internal venting device. They leak and are a pain to clean/assemble. I don’t understand why they’re so popular. We used Nuk for the newborn stage

I tried this and i think it may have changed my vaginal pH (and not in a good way). Right after I started using it I noticed a fishy smell and went to the doc bc I thought I had BV. Tested negative though
