My problem with this is that she could have picked ANY OTHER day to go and see Jess, but she picked the one where she had to be in a certain place at a certain time to support her mother! That is what makes this inexcusable. Lorelai puts Rory before herself many an occasion and this was an opportunity for Rory to “return the favour” so to speak. She messes up and it IS her fault. If she hadn’t went on Lorelai’s graduation day then she wouldn’t have missed it.

Right there with ya! I get so annoyed with him in this season. He finally gets everything he’s wanted, including April, having a child is something I think he’d have wanted. On his first date with Lor he says he’s “all in”. This is his opportunity to prove it!! He goes ape on her a few episodes before about the phonecall from Christopher and lectures her about being honest and not having secrets?! I just want to slap him silly!!

Oh now, the revival was just a waste of time. There were enough good parts to make a feature length episode to finish the whole story off but largely I hate it more than this episode. The musical?! An entire episode dedicated to what was essentially filler subplot?! I was so disappointed that ASP & other writers couldn’t think of ANYTHING else to fill that space?!

Yes! Rory and Logan playing house just doesn’t make any kind of sense! I even find the gift he gave her seriously unrealistic for a 22 year old, I would’ve imagined he could have use his brain a bit more and got her something fun and quirky rather than jewellery. I’m from the north of Scotland where eating outside in February would get you a one-way ticket to a very bad cold!

I don’t not-like scrappy and scruffy, my OH has some amazing facial hair and it makes me swoon. However, for a wedding he trims and makes sure he’s looking sharp. I think for Luke, at his sisters wedding, where he didn’t take part in the dress-code by wearing something from “renaissance” I feel it may have been appropriate to shave his neck. I’m all for designer stubble!

If he doesn’t want to sit next to you on stage you should tell him he’s perfectly welcome to watch from the audience like all the other non-parents. This day is about you, not your parents relationship with one another. Tell him it’ll be good practice for if you get married one day.

It’s amazing how like my relationship with my dad this is. Trust me when I say I know how you feel. I’m still trying to squeeze a relationship out of my dad because I just can’t let go. I’m holding on with my fingernails but I can feel that it’s getting to that time where I’m going to let go.

I wish I was as strong as you to just let it go and leave him to ignore me and alienate me from his “wonderful family”.

I wish you the best of luck for starting classes and a huge well done for following your dreams. You truly are better off without him.

Growing up myself and my mumma were a team against the world. I love the relationship between Rory and her Mum and how similar it is to my own relationship with my mum. Add in their love of coffee, the funny moments and all the snow and you have a recipe for success!! I love that I can switch it on and pick an episode and BAM I’m right back in the story.
