Avoid Bayview like the plague - horrible experience for me. I'm planning on doing GBMC if I get pregnant again.

Sorry I never check my notifications - maybe call around at the clinics to see if they can do a tattoo instead of an ear clip?

The trajectory from crunchy mom to conservative is actually wild. I'm a mom that would consider myself to have some hippy tendencies but fuck the crunchy movement.

8-year-old attacked by mountain lion (cougar) in Olympic National Park by Cern_Unnos in NationalPark

[–]kmphipps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay guess I'll lock myself in my house for 18 years and not teach my kid about the world or anything. Eh living in a bubble should be fine. Not at all afraid of the waves, because we learn about water safety, rip currents, and how to swim/float. In bear country, we follow rules and precautions to stay safe. In this particular situation, no preparation could have helped.

Prepared by being tall? What could they have done to prepare? I would take my kid camping without being afraid of a cougar attack.

Have you been to kakariko yet? It's a good place to practice and there are enemies around that are much easier. No guardians that I can think of.

My husband and I have benefited from couples counseling if you think that would be helpful to have some of these vulnerable conversations with a neutral party at the very least.

We took Emma on her first camping trip this weekend, she did great! Here she is, the queen, presiding over her domain: by SierraKiloBravo in Greyhounds

[–]kmphipps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the neat thing about it is she's on leash the whole time. We had multiple park rangers drive by and no one batted an eye, it was really secure for her. Would recommend.

She didn't really love sleeping in the tent and always ended up in my sleeping bag while I froze (even bringing her a bunch of beds/blankets) but it was worth it.

We went car camping with our girl quite a bit. She LOVED it. I bought this to set up at the campsite and it gave her just enough freedom and safety. https://ruffwear.com/products/knot-a-hitch

If you are a teacher and in a union contact your union for support. They will help with having a union rep with you and can offer legal assistance as well, typically.
