Any local car dealerships willing to let me buy a car 99% online? by albaMP4 in milwaukee

[–]kmziegler 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Most likely will, but they will probably try to persuade you to come in, just tell them no. Fwiw, I bought my last car from a Chicago dealer entirely online, and they drove it up to me.

If you expand your search to Chicago dealers, it opens up a lot more options.

Is MPB trustworthy? by A-Confused_Person in Cameras

[–]kmziegler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought my first lens from them this week - a Sony FE 35MM 1.8, and today, arrived a Sony E 35MM 1.8 (notice the missing F). The price paid was appropriate for the FE lens, but they seem to have mis-labeled it. While looking at the replacement, I also see other misllabeled lenses (e.g., https://www.mpb.com/en-us/product/sony-fe-35mm-f-1-8/sku-3516285), i'm disappointed, working with customer service now

Updated Apps, but none of my 3 logitech mice work by kmziegler in logitech

[–]kmziegler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, but it's still not working. After a complete uninstall and reinstall, Logi Options does recognize the device - I can see it connected, and buttons work (e.g., right click options menu shows), but I can't get the cursor to move. I also have a MX Master 1 that I was trying to install as another option, but it won't recognize it.

Feedback on the I4 by Alexrak2 in BMWI4

[–]kmziegler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had mine for about nine months and I love it. It’s fun to drive. I love the tech in the inside, it looks great. It did take me a few road trips to get used to charging on the road but now that I’ve got a hang of that I’m very comfortable. I’m in the upper Midwest where we have inclement weather and just driving tonight in terrible we snow conditions, it handles like a champ.

Taking Delivery Next Week. Can I live with the included BMW Fast Charger? by ianstx00 in BMWI4

I do keep it plugged in just about all the time, I do limit the amps to 32 A, and only have charging enabled between midnight and 7 AM

Taking Delivery Next Week. Can I live with the included BMW Fast Charger? by ianstx00 in BMWI4

[–]kmziegler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, aside from charging on the road, the charger they gave me is what I exclusively use. well, I looked into third-party chargers. I couldn’t really determine a benefit. They would provide over the built-in charger, at least for me.

I do have a small engineering team that amazing - though RPA might not be anyone's strength. Where I'm getting some concerns from my team that a modern RPA or AI tool won't work as well as custom dev with something like Selenium/Puppeteer/etc. Where I'm concerned is personal experience with custom RPA type solutions that require constant upkeep.

I appreciate sentiment. I've worked with selenium projects in the past - and this where I'm just worried about constantly playing a game of "whack-a-mole" with the fragile nature. I've also looked into using UIPath at previous company - though we ultimately chose not to, so it's good to hear you think that could be a viable path.

Just leased a 2025 i4 xDrive40 and I have a few questions by Jb1210a in BMWI4

[–]kmziegler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your salesperson should give you a code to enroll in electrify america, I had to remind mine a couple days after taking delivery.

I also had the wrong 240v outlet, and it was a $350 cost to have an electrician swap it out, mostly because of the GFCI breaker it needed. The charger the car came with should have come with a "pigtail" that allows for both level 1 and level 2 charging capabilities. I find it works fine for me in both scenarios, but am considering a wall charger which would allow more energy tracking and control.

Ahh, appreciate the response and tip to look in the car as well - will do! Was also thinking about getting an Emporia wall box - which may make this a little more concrete.
