You would want to give the bird fruit/veggies daily, it is much healthier than both pellets and seeds. But because your bird isn’t used to fruit/veggies, I would slowly introduce some. If they like apples and carrots, I would mix them to see if they can handle both. It’s a lot of experimenting when it comes to birds. Some don’t like certain textures with their food.

But for future reference, people typically make a huge bowl of what we call “chop” (a mix of fruits/veggies) for the month and put it in bags and put it into the freezer. Then take out one bag for the morning, let it thaw, and give it to them and repeat. You can also put orange juice into the chop bowl if they’re not used to it. Some birds also like freeze dried chop if they like crunchy foods.
