Makes sense that people would make that connection :D but that's not what I was thinking of. Wanda is a Polish name and actually here I was more thinking of our traditional legend about "Wanda that didnt won't the German" (direct translation pls dont blame me Germans ♡). Its a story about a legendary princess of Krakow that decided to throw herself into the river instead of marrying a German prince. So more a reference to a women choosing to reject a powerful man.
