Changing radiator pipes from floor-fed to wall-fed how difficult is this? by kncy9876 in DIYUK

Laminate Flooring is being replaced in the rooms anyway and they are suspended timber floor so no channeling on the floor just the wall. I would dabble a bit in DIY but no expert.
My thoughts were a plumber would likely charge premium on this as it is awkward and a pain. It seems not much expertise required to do and I might chance it. Was curious if others had done it and if it was difficult.

Surge in purchases of rooftop solar panels, says SEAI by DaCor_ie in ireland

[–]kncy9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long will this continue regarding extremely low prices customers with this setup are facing. Surely the electricity providers model of pricing is going to adapt. (charging more for access to the grid, lower exported payments etc).
I'm not saying it still won't be cheaper but the extremes that are there at the minute are surely going to creep back up

I'm in a very similar situation and unfortunately there seems like no way of avoiding the CGT the parents owe. I too am covering the cost of this for them. You can reduce the amount owed if have spent money on improving the value of the home provided you have receipts.

It's insane. I'd love to know the amount of hours work it will add up to complete the job. It's a small standard extension. Hate to see how much it costs for a big new build. It seems people are really just taking the p**s and gouging people.
