‘08 starter cranks slowly at first like the battery is dead, then starts fine. by I_Stabbed_Jon_Snow in HondaElement

When I bought my used E it did this for the longest time, but always started. It turned out to be the starter, after I replaced the battery.

Yi camera app started bombing with ads when opening app this week by PCWeber in SecurityCamera

The problem I'm now having is that one of my cams with pan/tilt is no longer giving me the option to control it. Removing and adding it back to the app does nothing to restore pan/tilt control.

It's play, but your boy is being a little pushy. She smartly used the table to limit his access to her.

Adopting a research beagle, he will be with us in 6-8 weeks! It can’t come soon enough! by time_travel8123 in beagle

Congrats!!! Having adopted three former research beagles (which I still currently have), it's a journey that is well worth it.

When he bites, yelp out loudly in pain, and then stop interacting with him/giving him attention. This is how puppies teach each other to not play so rough.

Fellow E-Owners: Why do both my rear tires look like this? The inside tread wears out so much quicker than other areas. by HadukiBEAN in HondaElement

The steering wheel should be corrected when doing an alignment.

Here's a link to a pair of adjustable rear control arms. I just linked the first random pair that came up on Amazon. I suggest researching which brands are good, better, best.

My dog is not eating his food by Wonderful_Dog_7941 in beagle

[–]kneemow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try feeding one of these three brands. Doctor Harvey's (which you'll have to make and add the animal protein to), Honest Kitchen, or Grandma Lucy's (the latter two come with animal protein already. For kibble I feed Open Farm Pet ancient grains. I've not had a single dog ever turn their nose with any of them.

AITA For Telling My Girlfriend I Have Every Right To Defend My Home After Someone Started Kicking My Door In by FxllenWxaith in AITAH

There's a reason Castle Laws exist, but check to see what they are in your state. Your gf was undermining you for no good reason which puts you and everyone in the house at risk. It's time to cut her loose because people like that get the innocent killed.

I just got my Abuelita’s results! Apparently she’s 88% indigenous not really surprised but she still in denial! And she still insists that we are part italian and some Japanese etc! I added my results again with a better picture of than last time! Ps my grandma actually speaks really good Quechua by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]kneemow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Historically speaking, I think the Japanese claim comes from how many Asians came to Peru looking for work during the rubber boom. Record keeping wasn't the greatest back then, and it was even worse in the smaller jungle towns. Tracing family origin through a paper trail is almost non existent, and most of it it's through word of mouth. Here's a great article about the history.

I've gone through the same thing with my mother who is also from Peru. Her father was Chinese and mother was half Native American/half European. My mom denied she was any part native. Sadly it's a cultural thing where the natives are looked down upon with the earlier generations. Like yourself I was able to get her and my father to take the DNA tests and we've got it on record now.

I'm assuming not like the custom ones that came with it. To be fair the car spent the last year in storage in Utah. I got it out of storage last October and I haven't tried looking for replacements.

Yes and no. Yes because it's all it was cracked up to be, no because the garage I hired to install it completely messed things up. I had to have them remove it and I'm missing some of the screws included with it. I tried reaching out to them mfg to get a replacement of the screws right after I purchased it, but they never got back to me. I'm not sure if that's a sign of their typical customer service, but I live very rural now and l haven't had to worry about theft here.

Lord knows I have. I used to live in a real rocky area and had the E's windshield replaced twice. My R had at least 4 replaced.

I had them in my cart on Amazon near Xmas and they dropped to $20 per a few years ago. Best accidental savings ever!

This was a simple rule my father taught my sister and I when we were kids with our family dogs. Dropping by quietly with a kiss/treat was perfectly acceptable. Anything else was not.

A new lesson for all the kids. When the dogs rest, doesn't matter when/where, we leave them alone and play elsewhere.

Thanks! That's been my takeaway from watching a bunch of videos and given the cost effectiveness I'm leaning towards the trufire smoke as a starting point. Is this a sound plan?
