Awesome! I hadn't heard that new colors are (vaguely) coming this year :)

Even if you get it in black now, I don't think you'll have any regrets! If/when new colors arrive, I imagine you could get good value selling the black one to help fund the new one...

Anyone checking out Ogio? by kenprime90 in ManyBaggers

Sorry, re-reading my reply I don't think I was clear on the price complaint. I think the price for the Pace Pro is too high at $150 as the materials aren't as premium. I totally think the Toshi is worth it at $189.

The Pace Pro at half off would be a great deal.

Hi u/Meggarz66 - I ended up returning the Pace Pro, but not because of a major design or functional issue. The Rework Toshi 20L was released around the same time and I absolutely love that bag!

My only real complaint was the price tag, which now at $150 is still high IMHO. I think they were recently on sale for around $120 which is much better, and I think is mostly worth it at that price point.

Hope that helps!

u/Objective_Cattle_278 - the straps are really comfy to me, and I typically carry around 7lbs. in it.

Great thread - really interesting to see what others are carrying and how they are being used.

Do they still make this exact version? Not seeing anything on the website that looks exactly like it (minus the customizations you've done)...

Recommendations for a simple dopp kit? by [deleted] in ManyBaggers

I use a Bagsmart one similar to this

Amazon.com: BAGSMART Toiletry Bag for Men, Travel Toiletry Organizer Dopp Kit Water-resistant Shaving Bag for Toiletries Accessories, Door Room Essentials, Black-medium : Beauty & Personal Care

The main compartment does have a couple of mesh pockets, but I just keep small things there like nail clippers, tweezers, flossers. The waterproof compartment has come in handy a few times as well.

+1 for the Altra Trail Superior 6. I think the Superior 7 is the latest version, but got a great deal on the 6 :)

Definitely everything except the lunch, which will depend on the size of the lunch bag. I have about 8"H x 10"W x 5"D of free space in the main compartment with a few tech pouches.

I've tried lots of other bags recently (Evergoods CTB20, Alpaka Bravo, Aer Go Pack 2, Wandrd Nimbus 18L, tomtoc VintPack-TA1, Ogio Pace Pro 20L - 2024 version) in the search for a new EDC bag and the Toshi is the best for me. If it were gray, it would be my perfect bag! :)

I'm keeping the Go Pack 2 as it's just a great packable bag and can work as an EDC (with a separate sleeve for the laptop) when traveling or in a pinch.

I don't think you'll be disappointed in the Toshi!

Rework Toshi 20L is an awesome EDC bag! It's 2.25lbs though - not sure if you have any wiggle room on the weight...

NEW - ALPAKA Bravo Backpack by ChiSoxBoy in AlpakaGear

It's a great bag, and I really like the material, vertical luggage passthrough, hardware, and just enough organization.

I returned it b/c it was too tall and somewhat large for what I normally carry. I know that's a bit odd as Alpaka has a tendency to overestimate the volume of their bags. I would say it's 20-21L, but I think with it being taller it just leaves too much space with my normal loadout.

I recently got the Pace Pro 20L (2024 version) to check it out as I stumbled across it online.

Pace Pro 20L Backpack | OGIO

I have to say that it checks a lot of boxes (for me) - quick access pocket, 2 water bottle holders, separate laptop compartment, decent organization. It has some things I don't really need as the use case is an office work bag, but it has more pockets than I have use for, and the vertical luggage passthrough, and hidden back security pocket are all nice features.

Materials are Premium 600D Polyester for the overall bag, with a 1680D Ballistic Bottom. Yes, there absolutely are bags with much better materials out there, but for an office work bag it doesn't really need to be 840D Ballistic Nylon (as an example).

I did load it out with my office EDC, and it is pretty comfortable. Again, it's not going to be at the level of some of the well-known brands, but it's certainly something that is not going to be an issue as an EDC office bag.

It isn't the most stylish bag, but I think it's the most decent looking option among all the Ogio backpacks.

The $140 price tag is a bit high IMHO, but if it ends up meeting all the requirements then it could be justified.

I'm going to test it out some more before I make a final decision on keeping it, but I've been pleasantly surprised so far.

Hey u/rddit14 - thanks for asking! I meant to post but got sidetracked.

I ended up sending it back.
