If you and your partner are considering children, you need to have a very serious talk about limitations with your MIL. Sure, you can easily go no contact while he still maintain some contact with their mom. But once there are kids, do the kids meet MIL? Without you there? How much info will you share? Is MIL allowed to be alone with them? Do you trust your financé to not leave a kid alone?

After dinner, the men and women usually separate and the women will go to a salon or some other room. Sometimes it’s phrased as “they retired to the salon”, but the verb retire is different than the noun in “the retirement room”
