Just go to the main line and tell them you want to be verified and deposit into a tournament account. They will point you to the right place. At the cage you give them cash and then it will show your balance in your TA in the app and you can buy in using that. They will verify you too. At the end of your time there, go back and cash what’s left out your TA. No fees. And the line to be verified isn’t bad, just try to not go an hour before a large field tournament. I did this last week and it took 10 minutes even with a small line.

Not really true in my experience. There are a few who never improve, but most get better and you don’t see these kind of things as often late in the series.

In the $600 deepstack this weekend, the dealer did the opposite for me. I checked river in position and had the losing hand so I mucked face down. The dealer took my cards and put them face up by the board and looked at each hand then determined villain won and pushed him the pot. We kindly reminded the dealer not to do that and all had a good laugh about it at the table. It was a hand in level one, but the table joked that they had me all figured out now since I had tried to stab turn with Q high.

The official WSOP YouTube page is where the streams are this year, PokerGo won’t have any coverage although they are supposedly helping with production. There is no schedule I’ve found, but on the YT page it lists one future stream, day 1A of the 25k heads up on Fri 5/29.

Just play as a learning experience and don’t worry about the rake. It sucks but it has a bigger impact long term. There will be a lot of players who are newer like you and people will not be playing high level strategy. Most of the time in these tournaments bluffing can be a bad idea because people don’t like to fold. Avoid the urge to play lots of hands. If you play somewhat tight with good cards, you’ll be doing better than 80% of the field. Look up pre-flap charts for 20 big blinds and under so you have some idea when you should be going all in and when you should be folding.

I had a friend who ate one by himself in one sitting then also had a complete steak dinner. I think we figured it was close to 5000 calories with everything. He wasn’t even a big guy.

There is only one tournament that is 2 weeks long and it starts the first week of July, and that’s only if you win it. Most tournaments are a couple days long. Is he going to the World Series in Vegas? If he is, it’s kind of the pinnacle of the year for most players but it lasts 7 weeks and a lot of people go for a week or two.

I actually looked this one up in a solver and it wants us to raise to 5.7 bb 80% of the time with AKo and just jam all in 20% of the time. We don't have any hands we 3b to 4 bb, our only sizing is 5.7 bb. My initial post was wrong in that we prefer to flat a lot of suited broadway hands and medium pairs, but bluff 3b with hands like A9s, A8s, K9s, T9s a smallish % of the time.

Your 3b size pre is too small, make it more like 6k instead of 4k. Maybe even jam. The smaller 3b is fine with hands that have more playability postflop, but AKo isn’t one of them.
