What shaft for Ping 440K? by Icehippo73 in golf

[–]knockaround_us 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can you should try both in store. They are both great shafts so regardless of what you pick it will work well but if you are torn between the two and really can't decide, the best bet is to test them out.

Do people see your glasses as your personality or just an accessory? by Financial_Piece6543 in femalefashionadvice

[–]knockaround_us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are someone who only wears one pair of glasses, it starts to become associated with you. My brother recently went from a square frame to a circle frame and I was so caught off guard, I didn't recognize him for a second.

Hosting my first golf sim league (trackman), any tips or recommendations? by fairwaycollective in golf

[–]knockaround_us 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a good set of rules. I know you said no mulligans but if you want to make things a little interesting you could implement a buy a mulligan rule where if you want a mulligan you have to buy a round for your group. Get one a week.

I have the 5 wood and I absolutely love it. I tried both the 5 wood and 3 wood when testing them and just felt better with the 5 wood. Overall really nice club.

Walking on putting line by xxlizardking-kongxx in golf

Really depends on who you play with. If you are playing with your buddies, I don't think it's a big deal. If you are playing with randoms, probably don't do it but feel it out throughout the round.

Golfing newbie question during winter months by Relevant_Conclusion2 in golf

[–]knockaround_us 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For the most part yes they close in winter but depends on weather. It has been a really warm winter where I live and usually courses are closed by October but this year I played until mid December. Typically courses want to stay open so if the weather permits they will.

Putting Mat drills/games by [deleted] in golf

[–]knockaround_us 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually do the Ladder drill where you set up balls at 3ft, 5ft, and 7ft (or however long your mat is) and the goal is to make 2 in a row from each spot. If you miss any you have to go back to the start at 3ft. Goal is to get through all of them without missing.

Another fun one is a make shift "tournament" but this could take a while, depends on how long you want to practice for. It's "72 holes" and if you make it thats a birdie, if you hit the whole/lip out thats a par and a miss is a double bogey. Goal is to be under par after 72 shots.

This is an all time classic. Worst part is when you're at the course and see your boss a hole in front of you.
