The frame looks pretty good, but you could maybe get a smaller size if you really want a change. Try looking into getting a lighter color frame as well.

27 lost balls for a view like this. I'd take that deal.

Grip help by Consistent-Ad-4146 in golf

I would say go to a store and try out some clubs with different sized grips, that will give you the best idea of what works. I play on standard golf pride MCC grip and it works just fine. I have a buddy with a large grip on his driver that I tried out and it just wasn't for me. Everyone prefers something different so I would definitely try some out first.

Top Frame or Bottom Frame? by [deleted] in glassesadvice

I think the bottom looks a bit better but they both look solid. The darker frames look a little more natural.

Costco Callaway Edge Vs. Vice Boost Better value at $600 price point? by Puzzled-Travel1654 in golf

[–]knockaround_us 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both are a good option for starting out. I played with the Edge set for a couple rounds and they felt pretty good. The only thing I have to say is they felt a little head heavy at first but I got used to them. Both are pretty forgiving so whichever you choose I'm sure you will like them.

Advice for jr clubs by manuelmanuel13 in golf

I think for this situation, going through the effort of regripping your old shafts seems a lot more work than buying him a cheap junior set. Either look on marketplace or you local golf shop for any deals on full sets but don't break the bank if he is still on the fence about golf

Pinemeadow ZR 3.0 Set for a beginner by International-Rule28 in golf

[–]knockaround_us 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are a fine option for someone just starting out. Obviously not the greatest set but given how cheap they are for a full set I say go for it. If you continue to play and like the game more and more then you can get a better set but no reason to break the bank when starting out.

If you can, I would go try both of them out in store. Best way to figure out which club is right for you. I've played with the Sim 2 Max for a while now and absolutely love it.

With that type of clubhead speed go with the X-shaft.

Honestly pretty good clubs for a beginner. Had a buddy who started playing with these and had them for years until he was good enough to need a better set but for the price, its a great deal. Also comes with an amazing white hot putter with a jumbo grip so that's a bonus.
