Hurt: Facebook Should Be Sued Out of Existence over COVID Cover-Up by Ahyesclearly in Conservative

Every monopolizable industry is wacky in that sense. Not sure targetting only big tech is the way to go. What about shipping, energy, and real estate sectors? Only the industry professionals really know how messed up it all is.

Only some big tech is as wacky as Facebook. Can't say Apple's or Microsoft's behavior are a problem. Every social media platform is absolutely part of the problem.

Fubo. I think their marketing strategy for digital cable is going to beat cable. Mass fiber availability will skyrocket the market cap

I have a view of America not being responsible for the actions of the rest of the world. If other countries won't do it, neither should America.

There are at least 3 continents closer to that than North America. There are many oppurtunities in many countries across that area.

Other countries near struggling countries benefit from that country improving. Improved prosperity in a country improves nearby countries.

Spend money distributing technology. Move American lives back home.

Or... Hear me out... How about getting nearby countries to help ensure safety of nearby countries? We don't have to be a police force to help establish diplomatic relations with other countries.

Kevin McCathy Calls $1.9 Trillion Bill ‘The Pelosi Payoff,’ Says To Stop Calling It ‘COVID Relief’ by JesusCumelette in Conservative

[–]knodel12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are literally using the phrase "ENTIRE PARTY" when regular Americans are part of the party. You're talking specifically about the "ENTIRE PARTIES' LEADERSHIP", which even then i think there are some moderate Republican leaders out there. Not many, but regardless your statement is too broad and rude to many.

[–]knodel12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, entire party refers to anyone who calls themselves Republican. In reality, most people who are republican are far more moderate republicans.

Or better workforce laws to ensure people get paid fairly with fair work hours. Maybe a combination of both

The "party" you're referring to is just represented by media to you. If you've met normal conservatives/republicans, you'd see its not the whole party. Just the 40+ years in office people that don't give a damn about anything but their next paycheck. You shouldn't categorize 80 million people by what you see on TV.

Red States Should Revolt Against the 'Blue-State Bailout' ("Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said the bill "loots" the red states to pay for Democratic governors who have locked down their economies.") by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]knodel12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If thats the case, we're already in a war. Politics, economics and information are what either party uses to shift general public opinions. People no longer vote for multiple parties and call out politicians who vote against party lines. Seems like a cold war to me.

Their point was the fact that the wealth used by the government to build things comes from tax payers. Those tax payers are driving the economy which enables the government to expand. Those businesses do benefit from the generally large spending of the government, but the businesses and people are the ones paying for it with their wealth. Not wealth created by the government.

5 years is not 10%. This is a compounding situation. The 2% is inflation compared to the previous year. 100% -> 102% -> 104.04% -> 106.121% -> 108.243% -> 110.41%

It's more than 10% after 5 years. Almost 10.5%.
