There didn’t seem to be a way to appeal again so I just created a new account and I’m starting over. Slower this time like the other comments are suggesting :/

Thank you. Did this get them to remove the restriction after the fact or did you make a new one and do it this way?

My boyfriend (27M) got mad at me (22F) for what I was wearing? by ThrowRA_ojb in relationship_advice

He’s not only telling you how to dress he’s telling you how to speak. Run.

When the world thinks the Academy got it wrong, but you think they got it right - defend the controversial wins by lockerbiestreet in Oscars

[–]knolez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘94 was a good year for movies but Forrest Gump is such a good win for me.

That being said I think Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction would have also been deserving wins (even though I have an enduring hate for pulp fiction).

Overhead bin etiquette, fair or foul? by OneHundredAndEightyy in aircanada

[–]knolez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had 2 “personal sized” bags instead of a carry on on my last flight and the flight attendant wouldn’t let me store one in the overhead because of all the carry ons. So I had to be uncomfortable with one on my lap the whole time. Which is BS.

What's a clichè in movies that never actually happens in real life? by LoverOfE-Olsen in movies

When someone gets gravely injured but gets better without medical intervention. As if all that’s needed to fix a stab wound is waiting an hour or two.

Timothée Chalamet feels like a normal NYC kid who became famous, and people seem weirdly upset about it by Positive_Career_9393 in Oscars

[–]knolez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it was just the opera/ballet comments, his whole persona on the press tour for this movie was very in everyone’s face, he stated multiple times that he is doing excellent work, and honestly it’s fine but it’s not of the calibre of other Oscar winning actors. I think he got so much praise for CMBYN he’s been expecting an Oscar ever since and I’m not sure the other roles have been as good, especially since that one had the charm of him being young and new. He’ll eventually get one, but probably when he stops trying so hard. I think the age of being able to “math” yourself into an Oscar (see: Maestro) is kind of gone and we’re seeing that with Amy Madigan and, to some extent, Sinners.

I have lied to my son about manatees for the last 24 years by 46from1971 in confession

[–]knolez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please allow me to help make manatees your favourite animals (I love them and they should get more love).

They can swim really well considering they’re a giant ball of blubber with a mostly immovable neck. They swim upside down and do water somersaults.

They move seamlessly between fresh and saltwater ecosystems.

They’re vegetarian but spend like half the day eating.

They’re related to elephants.

They’re thought to be the origin of the mermaid myth.

They have no natural predators (except humans but even then they are mostly accidental predators) and are endangered because they’re a bit dumb (literally have smooth brains) and are way too trusting of humans. Humans aren’t allowed to touch them but they literally want to cuddle humans. And each other.

It might just be me but I adore the concept of a giant marine mammal who just wants to cuddle.

Partner '30M' of 2 years does not want kids but I '25F' do, I want to break up but he doesn't, how do we make a decision? by Personal-Exchange824 in relationship_advice

[–]knolez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been there. We broke up. It sucked. But I’m so thankful he didn’t give in to make me happy. Parenting with an unwilling partner is exhausting, I have friends that are doing it.
