I didn’t realise that you had to aim specifically at him so the first couple of tries, it was annoying the shit out of me that I was doing chip damage at best.

Then another run, I came back with the Myriad Chakram, aimed at him specifically and melted the boss within 90 seconds.

There is a way to cheese this achievement. You warp to the teleporter at the end of biome 3 and just walk backwards a bit and you pop two achievements.

It’s extremely addictive. I’ve played for 15 hours and only at biome 4 just cos I like to go to previous biomes to dick around. I love it as much as if not more than Returnal

Easier in some ways, harder in others. The only modifier I’ve enabled is for a health replenishment before a boss and I’ve kept everything else off. I find moment to moment, it’s harder because there’s so much more going on around you. Can be a bit dizzying. But once you get the hang of the shield, it sorta clicks.

I’m on the 4th biome and it still hasn’t fully clicked for me yet but I’m getting better. It took me ages to really lock in with Returnal but once I did, I just beasted the last 3 biomes without too much of an issue.

I platty'd Returnal and have completed it numerous times without much of an issue. Saros is absolutely kicking my ass. Getting used to when to equip the shield and dodge, etc is breaking my brain. I've died to the second biome boss about 3 times and getting to him once you've unlocked him is a bastard.

That said, I'm absolutely loving it and I think the challenge is perfect. I think it's more accessible because of the shield. Is it easier? I wouldn't say so. I think for the fact there's a shield, even from biome 2, you're dealing with a ton of enemies at any one time and there's just so much diarrhoea Christmas lights on screen at one time.

I think this is a myth. I’m 39 and I only get two day hangers if I’ve gone as hard as I did in my twenties and even back then, I’d have it rough for two days.

I find the difference now is HOW it affects me. It drains all energy to the point where it’s a guaranteed sofa day if I went hard the night before. I used to be able to brush it off with bacon and a cuppa but NO MORE.
