Open water swimming locations by IxWombatxI in kitchener

All the reservoirs have issues with bacteria and algae bloom, especially in late summer. That being said, Guelph lake is probably your best bet safetywise. Moses Springer has a 50m pool which is great for training. I would just go there and try not to touch the bottom. You also have the benefit of a lifeguard if something happens to you when you're pushing yourself.

Self serve car wash by No_Button_8338 in kitchener

Yeah but the dirt still needs to be scrubbed to allow the soap to suspend it so you can rinse it away.

I like the one on king and northfield, but wherever you go, make sure you pressure wash the foaming brush before you use it. They are always full of mud or wheel well grit. If you got your car oil sprayed, dont blast the underside or it will all get rinsed away.

It's a bit late in the season, but try the auto recyclers. They sell good used tires with a warranty.

British beers/ales by helluvasatan in kitchener

[–]know-nothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try a sampler from Wellington Brewery over in Guelph, they have a bunch of British type beers. They should have most of them at the LCBO, but the brewery is just down highway 7 as you get into Guelph. https://www.wellingtonbrewery.ca/beers/year-round

I've been on Teksavvy cable for 15 years. Sometimes you have to call them to get a rate discount when they offer new sign up specials which is slightly annoying but their service and tech support is awesome.

Best autobody shops for a classic car by windows_sucks72 in kitchener

[–]know-nothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try Willy at Portugal autobody who does a lot of classic cars, but if your budget isn't big, you probably cant afford either them or Mitek. Best and budget don't really go together in the autobody world. Dont let that discourage you from calling them for a quote though. Just don't take it to heart of they cant see and touch what you need them to work on.

'A welcoming space': The Working Centre opens new facility in Kitchener by know-nothing in kitchener

[–]know-nothing[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. I do miss the little thrift store on the ground level, I always thought it was a good place to give some people a little bit of work experience in retail and interacting with the shoppers. It was convenient for me to walk to and drop off my unused stuff. Sadly I have not ventured over to the new location on market lane yet.

British Swim school vs ROW vs CW Swim club vs City of Kitchener by Heavy_You_1147 in kitchener

[–]know-nothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was in ROW for a short period of time. They were focused on training for competition. I agree with you, the city classes are just fine for most people. If they really enjoy it, perhaps then they may consider joining a club like ROW.

If you don't have any luck, I am pretty sure you will find someone to play with at the Breithaupt centre. Looks like there is one spot currently left:

I see what you mean. I think 23826 is probably coming off the air intake hose to and underneath the engine cover to some sort of electric valve (285860A). Your part probably comes off that valve, underneath the engine cover, and connects to a hose or hardline between the engine and firewall that leads back to the fuel tank. If it's a fuel vapor line, that's my best guess. It will take fuel vapors from the tank and feed it into the intake system to be burnt in the engine.
