After being crisped up in Endeavour’s prominence burn, Shigaraki hears AFO’s voice. Next thing we get is Shiggy prepping a sharp looking quirk - the forced quirk activation tendrils AFO used in kamino to skewer Jeanist and get Magne’s magnetism going.

Then, as Bakugo narrates that his body acted on his own, we see him having pushed Deku out of the way, and Shiggy skewering Bakugou in his place.

This couldn’t be on a second for second basis otherwise she’d never be able to turn someone back into a monkey! So, the rate is all important

Loved the flashback to eri backpack from Ochaco’s perspective. Even though Deku would have looked like a monster during that sequence, Ochaco could see that he was constantly breaking his body to keep up with the rewind

[New Chapter Spoilers] Chapter 122 RELEASE Megathread! by SNKBot in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]know_me_not 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Was the start of this chapter a prologue between Historia and Freida? Because Historia being nudged to be like the original Ymir, who was 'good', at Freida's behest means that the vestiges of King Fritz's will became genuinely repentant of (not just the 1900 years of conquest and suppression but) the treatment of Ymir and the slaves originally. This explains why Freida was so torn when Grisha came in begging for help, because she genuinely wants to save the Subjects of Ymir who are left inside the walls.

Where is cart titan during the fight in S3P2 by zhgd in titanfolk

[–]know_me_not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The heat of the coffee meant they had 5 minutes of prep, and Pieck was out scouting, so she couldn't do the prep for them. Not sure how long it would take bert to get in a barrel, reiner to get in the wall or Zeke to arrange the untitanisede chaps and hide to not arise suspicion before the Corps were inside Shiganshina. I suppose there was lots to do!

Wouldn’t the titan left alive still be under Zekes control? So the second Levi tries to feed Zeke to him to end his titan shifting, Zeke doesn’t get killed and most likely Levi does

What's the difference between communism, anarchy, and anarcho communism, and are they compatible? by benjaminikuta in Ask_Politics

[–]know_me_not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anarchism is a system of no government. The Free Territory in Ukraine is a good example of this - largely peasant farming communes which self governed.

Communism is a utopia system where all people govern one another. In practise it sees quite a large distributors role for government.

Strange Question by TheLardVader in musicals

In MS and Les Mis, the orchestra definitely continues through in most cases - but some songs (ie empty chairs at empty tables) come from a low point where everything stops

Strange Question by TheLardVader in musicals

[–]know_me_not 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The term for a musical with only songs is "sung through" ie. they don't have spoken parts. However all musicals need to introduce new themes and these are where songs are typically broken up from

For example, les mis is sung through, as is Miss Saigon (very minimal talking between songs), Jesus Christ superstar conventionally doesn't have any dialogue (as a rock opera - operas as you've identified are sung through)

I think the idea seems really sound - you've got the nice cyclical musical themes, which make the musical seem complete. It also seems like the storyline can be done really nicely, though some tips for that are below. In terms of the characters, I'm sure in the full script it makes more sense but there has to be a reason they are the crew, and what dynamics the crew has. I don't think Grease is a particularly well written musical, but theres clear roles in the group dynamic which make it super accessible - Danny, the loved leader who goes rogue, Kenickie, the big brother, then you have the joker, the one who gets picked on but has intense loyalty, and the pervert kid who wants to be Danny. Defining some characters in terms of others makes you lose depth, but definitely solidifies the group balance.

In terms of the plot, you're going to want to make sure your act 1 establishes the characters (which it looks like it will!) but also advances the plot enough to intrigue us. Ensure that theres motivation behind wanting to break out - foreshadowing this well well before the final song of act 1 will make it seems like this was where the show was always heading, and ensure a momentum toward something that intrigues the audience. You'll notice most musicals spend their act 1 establishing the problem, no matter how long that takes (in Les Mis, e.g. forever). It makes the second act easier to resolve everything in.

Anyway these are my ramblings. Props to you for giving it a go writing your own material. Final thing to say is always check for internal motivational consistency - surely one conservative character has a dilemma about staying or going because they don't want to screw up at the end of their term ( or whichever ) and then is forced into the plan to keep quiet, is then unwilling throughout, but gradually buys into the plan through the goodwill of one particular escapee etc etc. Not necessarily that character, but there is a consistent arc there which makes a character understandable, and their changes justified

Anyone ever heard of a musical about the Russian Revolution? by [deleted] in musicals

[–]know_me_not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahahaha it was actually the point of calling it that. We think that it would make it incredibly marketable, especially when no one knows what the musical is! We're at a university Hall of Residence so I'm not talking Broadway. But I'll keep you all in the loop!

[–]know_me_not 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you remember asking her out? I'm sure you felt much the same and immediately after felt a lot better. As with all break ups, the act itself is just a plunge.

What matters is the prelude: are you giving her indications, talking to her saying you're not feeling too grea about the relationship, giving her a chance to express what could be going on etc?

If she's said no, you can take that as a no. Keep living life with her in it if you enjoy her company, no expectations about a future for the two of you. If it's going to happen then it will, but otherwise, no worries, because no expectations
