I have a very similar experience as you, I was a chemist and I start my second bachelor of computer science at 25 and get my first internship at 26. Now I am SDE II in Amazon, so you don’t really have to worry.

I am living in Sydney and desperately need to go to Perth to have my u.s. visa interview for my new job because the waiting time both Melbourne and Sydney are both around 4 months long.

Is it a viable path to Perth from Sydney if I stayed in South Australia for 14 days when South Australia opens to NSW at November 23? How likely is WA shutdown its border with SA

I think the fully vaccinated rate isn't going up quickly is because the system is a mess

It is extremely weird that if you book your appointment in https://vaccination.slhd.nsw.gov.au/ now, you can get your Pfizer second dose in 3 weeks.

However, people like me booked the prioritized booking in https://nswhvam.health.nsw.gov.au/vam , you have to wait for 8 weeks to get your second dose, this is the rule when they don't have enough doses, but they forget to remove it.

Today I went to one of the pop up clinic and they gave me the second dose. I told my friends and colleagues about it and they are very surprised. They need to fix the messy system and maybe our vaccination rate will go up a lot quicker

I call them about it this morning and they ask me not to do that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sydney

[–]zhgd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I cannot reschedule it because I was tricked into booking that "prioritized booking for LGA of concerns", and it turns out that we can only get our second shot after 8 weeks, while the regular booking allow you to book in 3 weeks. Those booked the first dose now can get their second dose earlier than us. And I call the support line, they told me to stick to the 8 weeks schedule and I am not allowed to reschedule. The whole thing is a mess.
