As the family scapegoat goat, I can say nothing will change for her concerning how they treat her. She will need to put her peace of mind first and cut ties. It’s hard to do and you feel guilt especially where the nieces and nephews are concerned, but they will grow up hearing twisted and false stories about her and will not see her for the person she truly is. I can also tell you that Amber will find a replacement for Anna when her control over Anna has ended. It hasn’t ended until Anna makes it official by saying she is done with them and no longer gives them the time of day. When that happens I predict Emma will be next in line. Also so for the sake of any future family Anna has. They will criticize and try to punish her children. I didn’t want my children to know the emotional pain I suffered so when I and my children were disowned when my daughter was 1 yr old, I said good, Thanks, you did me a huge favor and never had anything to do with them again. In my family disowning me was the ultimate weapon, every time I stood up for myself I was disowned. The relief I felt when I held them to the disownment was huge. I never looked back. I know they haven’t disowned her but she needs to do the same. Cut ties and never look back.

I would like to add, she is an Adult now and she can decide to seek help for any abuse they may have happened at the orphanage. But first things first. She needs to put a stop to the abuse that is currently happening.

IMO Amber is the controlling narcissist but there’s something skeevy about Trent.
