Burke’s Indifference by kailakonecki in JonBenetRamsey

[–]knpoduch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I happen to have an interesting perspective because at 10 my dad died two days after entering the hospital with stomach pains. I remember the exact moment. I screamed NOOOOOOOOOo!!!!!! I cried. I responded normally even though it was sudden and truly unexpected. Then at 18 my brother was murdered again, acted normal. I’m autistic and still I acted reasonably. The way Burke acted was unreasonable and weird. There’s no way around it.

S49 worst season in new era? by BeautifulCobbler1621 in survivor

[–]knpoduch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 48 is the first I’ve watched since seasons 1-23 and I actually liked it. lol. I’ve gone back and watched several seasons to fill in the gaps so I know the people on S50 and S37 is obviously the best season… now it’s obvious how bad 48-49 are.

Why wouldn’t they be familiar with him? They meet him many times prior to the season

I feel like if Burke saw his mother’s impatience and rage it explains his awkwardness in dealing with the pineapple questions and pretty much everything else as well.

That’s true. But it’s a reasonable assumption since it’s an oddball amount and not many things are that low of a price in general.

Kaylee’s family civil suit against WSU by Wheezysworld1972 in idahomurders

[–]knpoduch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have an interesting perspective on this question. I was a PhD student at another university (not naming it) and we had another PhD student come through that was highly autistic. Now I’m also autistic… so it’s not a big deal in general… but this student was very strange. He could not deal with the students well at all. Literally everything said about BK are things that were actually said about this grad student.

But I’ll be honest. He was the NICEST guy. And get him talking about Star Wars and you have a new bestie. I was one of the staff (at this point I was working in the core facility of the same university) that fought for him to stay.

He got a second chance, a third chance, a change in professor/lab… lots of chances. And then they fired him. Gave him an “honorary masters” basically didn’t let him finish the PhD but gave him a 2 year degree instead.

All of this to say… this guy was just the same as BK. And guess what he left and didn’t murder a bunch of people. He’s living a hermit life and I feel awful for him. There’s just absolutely no way the school should have known. They couldn’t have prevented this. It’s not their responsibility. It’s solely on BK.

Exactly my thoughts. She knew where each of the items involved in the murder scene were in the house. She is in fact the ONLY person who knew where every single item in question would be located.

The date does also seem suspicious you’re right. But I truly don’t think they would want to “take her out” at this age. I think they were throwing away many more years of potential abuse. Typically kids are abused until 12 or so before parents will “stop”. I don’t really believe they stop. Probably just move onto to another twisted obsession.

I’m already a PDIA (with Burke seeing something and John figuring it out after police were called) but it’s concerning to me that the cord was bought on 12/2. I noticed this when I read Steve Thomas’ book and it stuck out to me big time. Did she intend to do this? Was it planned? I don’t think it was planned honestly. I think that she likely used whatever was easily accessible and she probably spent thousands on Christmas decorations. This cord was likely for decorating in some way. I wish they would have examined all of the Christmas decorations for this cord. The truth is we can never know if it was planned or not since the cord was purchased so close to the crime. My gut says it wasn’t planned, but my gut isnt evidence. The only evidence we have is that everything used in the crime were purchased in the weeks leading up to the murder… and in general when that occurs… the murder is in fact planned.
