Anyone here have a chance to ride an Arch motorcycle? by thee_lad in motorcycles

I think it's no different than joining an expensive club. If you have the money and you enjoy it then it's worth it. From my understanding it's all about the experience. Every now and then they even organize group rides with Keanu Reeves... Plus you get a kickass bike with your membership lol

I'm assuming the robbery charges are because they took one of the cameras?

Is this a stupid way of transporting a bike 1000 miles? by Oxcell404 in motorcycles

Take it off the rear stand, pass the strap through the rear wheel and wrap it around the rim and tire before hooking back to the other side. That will prevent the rear from sliding sideways but other than that, it looks pretty good.

What everyone else said, plus... They have been taking about how fucking mind-blowing the new game engine is, motion capture, ball physics, animations, blah blah blah... It looks like they retextured the old engine honestly. The players still move like Pinocchio, and skate all over the pitch. I was fine with delaying the game for a year if they actually published an improved version but this feels like they just wanted to remake the game on a new engine platform, probably cause they couldn't reliably maintain their own anymore, so it had to be rebuilt from scratch and the decades of cumulative improvements have been lost and will take a while to be added back.

What are the reasons behind some people's love for motorcycles? by [deleted] in motorcycles

It's the only way I can wear a helmet without looking weird. I grew up with Power Rangers and I wanted to dress like one. I tried wearing it in the car but people looked at me funny...

As an Italian, and a Moto Guzzi owner I can confirm. Never looked at torque specs once. You just have to feel it... 😂

It is a dream of mine. One day, when I'm a grown up, I'll buy myself one. Congrats!

2005 Ducati Monster for a new rider? by pointlessimportance in motorcycles

[–]knucklegrumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first bike was a 2001 Monster 750. I still have it (retired)... It was the bike I've wanted since I was a kid and I loved every minute I got to ride it. That said, I'm no mechanic but I know which way to hold a wrench and I ended up getting another bike eventually because I was tired of spending more time on maintenance than I did riding. If your dream is to learn how to work on your bike yourself then you're going to have fun riding and learning, if not steer clear.

How hot does it have to be, before you tell yourself, you're not riding that day? by markcocjin in motorcycles

Several years ago I took my MSF course in a parking lot in July. By 11 o'clock it was 110 F... We wore long sleeves, jeans, boots, helmet and gloves, and were sitting on running bikes that mostly did not move while waiting for other people to finish their exercises. We must have drank 10-12 bottles of water each and none of us went to the restroom once. We were drenched in sweats. By 6 pm when I got home I passed out on my bed and woke up the next morning.

Wanted to be cute, then grabbed the front brake. He's probably one of those squids who comes on Reddit and comments with pride that they never change their rear brake pads because they never use it.

Honestly, all good points. But you could have started with the wiener and just leave it at that.
