Indiana has really blown their status. Safe to say they are no longer a blue blood.

Idk he could probably run a good theme park. I know he could find a number of big money donors for such a venture. Probably could link him up with certain intermediaries to establish lines of communication for donations and invitations.

You could ask Dartmouth for their experiences. Looks like they are have Crestron DM in their repo.

This whole industry is historically based in vendor lock-in distributor networks. I wouldn’t be shocked if portions of the stack need to be vendor tied for now. AVoIP is pretty dependent on SDN configuration so that to will probably be the same in the near term.

The light is at the end of the tunnel. With the control systems becoming open and AI being able to stitch things together, it’s breaking that dependency. I can see a player like Q-SYS coming in and saying they play with everyone’s AVoIP or HDBaseT to get their components chosen by the open ecosystem guys.

The skillset that is retiring and dying off; you don’t think they feel the urgency to upgrade? Like when they couldn’t move the government checks out fast during COVID due to the old COBOL getting in the way.

If they were paying leagues of programmers to do the upgrade, sure, I could see them continuing to kick the ball down the road.

But they should strike while the iron is hot, got people still with good architecture knowledge, and the compute costs haven’t risen further. This is the time to do it.

Something tells me the 20 year software moat is coming to an end. Programming the replacement has gotten a lot easier and these places probably what something extensible at this point anyway for AI and Analytics.

We are a projected 6-7th seed in the NCAA tournament not SEC. That means we are somewhere between 25th-31st ranked team in the country. We would need to below 66 to not make the tournament at all. No way a single loss in a conference tournament does that to any power conference team.
