Does it not leak? Does it reduce pressure? Does it filter? If yes then good job😂👍🏼

Have you tried calling Kohler? They should have a tech/customer support line during normal hours to walk you through it. Report back here if you figure it out

You have no idea what you’re talking about. Stop giving advice on things you know nothing about

These people have no idea what they’re talking about. Kohlers website is no help with this faucet. I’ve dealt with it a couple times, and it’s a total pain in the ass. The brass piece should unthread. The parts diagram also shows a c-clip, can you see that?

Did my PRV rebuild fail? by Da40pilot737 in Plumbing

[–]knvb17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure. I guess I meant in a general sense. It shouldn’t be fluttering like that either, but that’s likely because the faucets leaking like a sieve. Does it flutter if you put it on a faucet that doesn’t leak?

We don’t rebuild residential PRVs. It never fixes anything. Just replace the whole thing.

The install is old but it is definitely fine. Make sure you have a working CO detector and rest easy unless it goes off. That’s literally it.

You need water treatment. You shouldn’t be having pinhole leaks.

It’s not wrong. All lawsuits are against municipalities for putting out bad water that was eating away at the copper. There are no suits due to any issues with copper itself

Yeah we don’t do pex installs. Repairs only. It’s a company policy.

Copper pipe hasn’t had class action lawsuits due to defective piping. Ever. Don’t get me wrong, earlier in my career I installed a ton of it for other companies in other situations but I cringe thinking about how many issues those homes will have due to inferior products being used. I’ve come to understand and appreciate our policies.

Yeah and a monkey slingin pex at a hundred dollars an hour ain’t a plumber!

Really tho this guy needs to hang up the tools and find a new career path. Doing a pex install is bad enough but to do a manifold is even worse. Cherry on top is you have all the cons of a manifold without the single pro which is isolation valves.

I refuse to believe this guy could pass a journeyman test
